반달곰원장이 지금 헝가리의대 진학관련하여 헝가리 부다페스트에 출장중입니다. 어제는 부다페스트에 있는 명문의대인 Semmelweis University를 방문하였습니다. 그리고 오늘은 Semmelweis University Medcial School의 디렉터랑 미팅을 하기로 되어 있고 그전에 헝가리의대 진학을 쉽게 진행될 수 있도록 도와주는 Medical Foundation Program을 제공하는 Medical Study Hingary와 미팅을 갖습니다.
그래서 반달곰원장이 헝가리의대에 바로 입학을 하는 것도 좋지만 현지인 부다페스트에 와서 현지 적응도 하고 집중해서 헝가리의대 진학을 준비하는 것이 좋을 것 같아서 Medical Foundation Program을 소개해드리겠습니다. 학비도 저렴하고 생활비도 저렴한 부다페스트에서 마음껏 의대진학준비를 한다면 행복하지 않을까요. 헝가리어도 미리미리 공부를 해두면 나중에 의대들어가서도 큰 도움이 될 것입니다.
그럼 먼저 헝가리 의대 Pe-medical Program에 대해서 말씀드리겠습니다. Pre-medical Program은 부다페스트에 있는 McDaniel College Budapest에서 진행을 합니다. 1990년부터 의대진학을 도와주었으니 벌써 30년이 지났네요. 그 동안 어떤일이 있어는지 간단히 설명을 드리면 아래와 같습니다.

Pre-Medcial Program을 통해서 의대에 진학하는 확률은 82-90%입니다. 물론 한국학생들은 더 높지만 항상 공부를 열심히 하지 않으면 안됩니다. 30년동안 5000명이상을 의대에 입학시켜왔으니 충분히 믿을 만하고 그들의 전문성을 인정할 수가 있습니다. 약 40개국에서 학생들이 Pre-Medical Program을 위해서 공부하러 옵니다. 영어로만 제공하는 것이 아니고 독일어로 의대준비를 할 수도 있습니다. 즉, 독일어권의대 진학을 원하는 분들은 독일어로 공부해도 됩니다.
이런 Medical Study Hungary에서 제공하는 Pre-Medical Program은 수업의 양과 질, 그리고 기간에 따라서 두개로 나누어 제공하기에 본인의 실력과 스케쥴에 맞추어서 프로그램을 선택할 수가 있습니다. 그 두개 프로그램의 특징을 설명드리면 아래와 같습니다.
Two-semester Pre-Medical Track:
24 hours/week
From late September to mid-May, every year.
Primarily designed for those who have not studied one or several of the required subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), or whose English is insufficient for academic purposes.
Application Deadline
for students who do not need a student visa: 1st September each year
for students who need a student visa: 15th July each year
One-semester intensive Pre-Medical Track:
33 hours/week
From early January to mid-May.
Primarily designed for those who need to refresh previous studies and have a good command of English
Application Deadline
for students who do not need a student visa: 1st December each year
for students who need a student visa: 15th October each year
2학기 1년공부하는 과정은 이미 의대준비공부를 한 적이 없고 여어가 덜 능숙한 학생들이 충분히 시간을 두고 공부를 하는 것이 좋습니다. 학생비자를 받아야 하므로 매년 7월 15일이 마지막 입학지원 데드라인이 되겠습니다. 그리고 이미 의대공부를 했고 영어도 잘하는 학생의 경우 1학기 공부만으로 의대진학을 할 수가 있는데 매년 10월 15일이 입학지원데드라인이니 지금이 8월말이므로 열심히 입학지원 주비를 하시길 바랍니다. 그럼 학비등 비용에 대해서 안내해드리겠습니다.

위에서 보시다시피 한학기 공부나 두학기 공부나 학비의 차이는 거의 없습니다. 그러니 부다페스트에 와서 충분히 시간을 가지고 여유있게 준비하는 방법을 선택하는 것이 좋겠지요. 그러나 구내외 의대진학에 실패하고 서둘러서 의대에 입학하고자 하는 학생들은 구지 입학을 미룰 필요는 없겠습니다. 이렇게 Pre-medical Programd을 성공적으로 이수하고 입학시험을 통과하면 진학할 수 있는 대학교는 아래와 같습니다.

헝가리의 유명한 의대는 거의 진학할 수가 있습니다. 데브리첸의대는 이상한 시스템으로 한국과 엮여있어서 어렵고 나머지 대학교 진학은 가능합니다. 더군다나 Semmelweis, Szeged, Pecs는 한국국시원에서 인정을 받아서 한국의사시험을 볼 수 있기에 한국에서 의대진학이 극히 어려운 상황에서 헝가리의대는 너무나 좋은 조건입니다.

입학지원수속은 반달곰원장이 다 도와드릴 수 있기에 걱정할 것이 없습니다. 도움 필요하면 도움을 요청하시면 됩니다. Pre-medical program을 위한 입학시험은 없습니다. 그러므로 문과 이과 상관없이 진학이 가능합니다. 다만 입학할 때 수학 생물 화학 영어등에 대한 수준을 체크하기 위해서 placement test를 봅니다. 그래야 비슷한 수준의 학생들과 공부를 할 수가 있습니다.
