안녕하세요, 반달곰원장입니다.
오늘은 반달곰원장이 4월에 방문한 폴란드 바르샤바의 Medical University of Warsaw 의 MD프로그램에 대해서 말씀드리겠습니다. 외국에는 수많은 의대들이 있습니다. 우리나라에서 인기가 많은 헝거리의대에서 카리브해에 있는 국제의대까지 정말 다양한 의대프로그램들이 있습니다. 대한민국에서 의대가기가 어찌하다가 바늘구멍이 되어서 외국에 나가서라도 의대에 입학하여 의사가 되고자 하는 학생들과 또 그런 자녀를 바라는 부모의 이해관계가 잘 맞아 떨어진 것이지요.
그렇다고 아무 의대를 갈 수는 없습니다. 그 나라에서 그 나라의 언어를 배우고 의사를 하고자 한다면 어느 의대나 웰컴일 것입니다. 그런 문제는 대부분의 대한민국의 학생들은 외국에서 의대공부를 하고 한국으로 들어오고자 하기에 문제가 생깁니다. 왜냐면 외국의대에서 공부하고 왔다고 국내의 엄청난 이권을 가지고 있는 의사단체들이 순순히 국내에서 의사로 활동하게 해주지 않기 때문입니다.
그래서 전세계 의대중에서 한국으로 돌아와 예비의사시험을 보고 통과한 후에 의사면허시험을 볼 수 있는 자격을 주는 의대는 몇개 없습니다. 우리가 알고 있는 헝가리의 University of Debrecen, University of Szeged, University of Semmelweis, University of Pecs는 그런 자격이 주어집니다. 그래서 시험만 통과한다면 한국에서 의사를 할 수도 있고 미국에서 의사를 할 수도 있습니다.
폴란드에도 좋은 의대들이 많지만 Medical University of Warsaw만이 우리나라에서 인정을 해주는 의대여서 이 학교를 나온 학생들은 예비시험과 의사시험을 통하여 한국에서 일을 할 수가 있습니다. 바로 반달곰원장이 소개하고자 하는 학교가 바르샤바의과대학교입니다. 운좋게도 올해 4월에 폴란드 바르샤바를 방문하고 Meical University of Warsaw 를 방문할 수가 있었습니다. 그래서 이 대학교에서 제공하는 프로그램을 소개해드리고 많은 분들이 가고자하는 MD프로그램에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.

위에서 보면은 의대, 치대, 약대등이 있는 것을 알 수가 있습니다. 반달곰원장은 한국학생들이 관심을 가지고 있는 Faculty of Medicine에 대해서 말씀드리겠습니다. 물론 모든 수업이 영어로 진행되는 의대과정이라서 한국학생들은 영어능력이 있으면 가능합니다. 그럼 기본적으로 어던 조건을 갖추어야 하는지, 그리고 한국학생들이 보아야하는 입학시험에 대해서 간단히 살펴보겠습니다.
Applicants with a high school diploma issued outside Poland are obliged to pass the entrance exam (in English). It consists of 100 MCQ questions in Biology on higher level (35 questions), Chemistry on higher level (35 questions) and Physics on standard level (30 questions).
Entrance exam dates (for 2018/2019):
ATTENTION: Candidate can only choose one date for the exam.
On-line registration will be open for all applicants from January 12, 2018

위에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 올해 입학시험은 모두 끝이 났습니다. 내년에 입학시험을 미리 준비해야하는데 생물, 화학, 물리에 대해서 많은 공부를 해야 하겠습니다. 그럼 구체적으로 어떤 식으로 입학지원을 하는지 살펴보겠습니다.
Admission requirements and criteria for the MD program at Medical University of Warsaw:
1. Register on-line
2. Fill in the required stages in the on-line admission system.
Every completed stage is marked green. Uncompleted stages are marked red.
Remember to choose date and the place of the entrance exam.
3. Enclose the following documents:
high school-leaving examination certificate or confirmation from high school about date of graduation, English language certificate, Copy of your valid passport,
Confirmation of the application fee payment,
Your photo and other documents requested by the system.
Note: Application without the above mentioned documents enclosed will not be complete and valid.
4. Check the data and save each correctly completed stage in the system.
5. Pay application fee in the amount of 200,00 EUR (non-refundable) on your individual account number provided by the on-line admission system.
6. Follow the information in your on–line recruitment account and/or sent by the Registrar Office.
한국학생은 고등학교 졸업증명서, 성적증명서, 영어점수 등을 준비해서 입학지원서를 작성하면 됩니다. 영어조건은 한국학생에게 해피하게도 토익성적도 받기에 그렇게 어렵지는 않습니다. 기분은 아래와 같습니다.
IELTS exam passed with no less than 6,0 points,
TOEFL exam passed with no less than 90 points,
CEFR exam on B2 level,
TOEIC exam passed with no less than 700 points.
그리고 마지막으로 바르샤바의대 학비를 안내해드리겠습니다.
The tuition fee for the academic year 2017/2018 amounts to:
1st year – 11.100,00 EUR
2nd year – 11.100,00 EUR
3rd year – 11.100,00 EUR
4th year – 11.100,00 EUR
5th year – 11.100,00 EUR
6th year – 11.100,00 EUR
일년 학비가 11000유로밖에 되지를 않습니다. 이 학비는 헝가리보다도 훨씬 저렴합니다. 헝가리의대의 학비는 15000유로에서 16000유로사이인데 약 2/3수준이 저렴한 학비여서 학비부담이 있는 학생들은 헝가리의대보다 폴란드 의대를 선택하는 것이 좋을 수 있습니다. 숙소와 생활물가도 매우 저렴하기에 사는데 큰 부담이 없습니다.
