한 분야에 독보적인 위치를 갖고 있는 사람들은 늘 선망의 대상이자 부러움의 대상입니다. 방송에서도 그런 프로그램이 있습니다. ‘생활의 달인’이라고 한번 정도는 지나가면서 본 적이 있을텐데요. 남들이 보기에는 정말 사소해 보일 수 있는 작은 일을 대할 때, 달인이라고 불리는 사람들은 상상을 초월하는 스피드와 자신의 분야에서는 추종을 불허하는 전문 지식과 노하우를 갖고 있습니다. 단순히 한 일을 몇 십년 동안 해 왔다고 얻을 수 없다는 것을 우리는 잘 알고 있습니다. 그래서, 달인이라고 불리는 사람을 경외하고, 우러러 볼 수 밖에 없는 것이지요. 바로 남다른 사고 방식, 열정, 그리고, 장인정신이 한 사람을 달인, 전문가의 자리에 올려 놓는 게 아닌가 싶습니다.
가을꽃이 한창 여기저기 보이는 요즘 화창한 날씨와 함께 더 없이 좋은 풍경을 선사하고 있습니다. 날씨가 더 쌀쌀해지면, 무료로 꽃 구경을 아무데서 하기는 힘들어지겠습니다. 오늘 주제는 바로 꽃인데요. 꽃을 전문적으로 다루는 직업인 플로리스트를 양성하는 학교로 Catherine Muller Flower School은 전에도 소개한 적이 있는 곳입니다. 꽃꽂이 부분에서는 달인의 경지에 오른 Catherine Muller가 운영하는 플라워샾 및 스쿨로 파리, 런던, 뉴욕에 Flower School을 두고 있습니다.
까뜨린 뮐러는 한국에서도 유명한 분입니다. 한국어 버전의 인스타그램과 홈페이지도 따로 운영하고 있는데요. 2016년 9월에 Catherine Muller Korea이름으로 정식 런칭을 했습니다. 한국에서도 그녀의 플라워 전문가 과정을 수강할 수 있지만, 그녀가 파리에서 그녀의 이름을 내세워 플라워 스쿨을 처음 시작했던 역사적인 장소에서 배울 수만 있다면 더 없이 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다. 그리고, 그녀가 직접 가르치는 코스도 있으니 다른 지점과는 확실히 다르기도 하고요. 까드린 뮐러의 파리 스쿨에서 열리는 코스에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.
수업은 영어로 진행되나 아주 쉬운 영어로 표현하기 때문에 유창한 영어 실력이 아니더라도 부담을 가질 필요가 없습니다. 외국 학생들도 많이 방문해서 배우기 때문에 의사소통에 큰 불편함은 없을것이고요. 코스 역시 주 단위로 이루어지기 때문에 스케줄을 보고, 본인이 배우고자 하는 과정을 체크해서 그 과정에 등록 후 참여하면 되겠습니다. 2018년 1월과 2월의 코스를 예시로 들어보겠습니다. 다른 일정으로 참여 원하시면, 일정 체크해드리니 연락주시기 바랍니다.

A week to become a Florist, Parisian Florist, Concept and Creations는 순수한 generalist과정이고, 나머지 리스트된 과정 역시 테크닉 부분에서 매우 다양하기 때문에 제너럴리스트 과정이라 볼수 있지만, 스타일 부분에서는 한 스타일을 지향하는데 디자이너가 많은 다른 해석을 가지고 얼마나 깊게 한 방향, 한 주제, 한 스타일 쪽으로 갈 수 있는지를 보여주기에 흥미가 있습니다.
Fashion Florist는 창의성, 새로운 컨셉, 못 본 정열에 관한 것으로 학생들이 새로운 영감을 갖고 작업할 수 있도록 하는 코스라 할 수 있습니다.
Special wedding, Event/Party, Winter등의 코스는 2개 혹은 3개를 연속해서 들을 수 있는데 어디까지나 개인의 취향이나 목표에 따라 다릅니다. 플라워스쿨이나 플러워샾을 개업하려고하는지, 아니면, 웨딩 관련 장식을 원하는지, 호텔이나 트레퇴르를 위해 일을 하려고 하는지에 따라 선택 가능한 옵션입니다.
코스 비용은 다음과 같이 연속으로 들을 경우 할인이 되는 시점이 있어서 낱개로 하나하나 수강하는 경우보다 더 절약할 수 있습니다.
