오늘 반달곰원장이 소개해드리는 비즈니스스쿨은 바로 필라델피아에 있는 템플대학교 Temple University Fox MBA입니다. 필라델피아에는 유명한 명문대학교인 UPENN이 있고 유펜의 비즈니스스쿨인 Wharton MBA가 있습니다. 반달곰원장이 유펜의 부설어학원인 English Language Program의 한국대표사무소로 일하기에 자주 방문하였는데 솔직히 템플대학교는 아직 방문하지 못하였습니다.

가장 자랑스럽게 여기는 것은 Forbes지 랭킹에서 발표된 a job-placement rate "better than any other school in the country"분야에서의 랭킹입니다. 그 분야에서 전체 1위를 차지한 것입니다. 졸업후 3개월이내에 취업 확률이 97.4%라고 하니 정말 대단한 기록이 아닐 수 없습니다. 그리고 2014년 The Princeton Review/Entrepreneur Magazine 에서는 탑 20안에 드는 순위인 19위를 차지하였습니다. 그리고 올해 The Economist 랭킹에서는 33위를 차지하는 등 좋은 성과들을 계속해서 보이고 있습니다.

한국과 같은 국제학생들의 입학지원 데드라인 12월 10일과 3월 1일 두차례가 있습니다. 그러니 이제 3월 1일 마지막 기회밖에 없다고 할 수 있습니다. 구체적으로 GMAT점수와 IBT점수를 요구하고 있지는 않지만 보통 Fox MBA학생들의 편균 GMAT성적은 640점, IBT 96점, PBT 600점 이상으로 되어있습니다. 그러므로 최소한 GMAT점수와 IBT점수를 만들어서 도전하는 것이 좋습니다.

학사와 석사프로그램이 다양하게 구성되어 있는데 이외에도 템플대학교에는 IELP라는 부설어학원이 GPA와 다른 입학조건은 만족하나 영어점수가 부족한 학생들에게는 조건부입학을 제공합니다. 그리고 GPA는 만족하나 영어점수가 없거나 아예 조건부입학에도 해당하지 않은 경우는 Provisional admission이라고 잠정입학허가를 해줍니다. ELP과정을 공부한 후에 일정 수준이 되면 Conditional Admission학생이 들을 수 있는 Access Temple을 들을 수가 있습니다.
