오늘 소개할 뉴욕대학교의 MBA 과정은 현재 2021학년도 가을학기 입학 신청서를 받고 있습니다. 뉴욕대의 비즈니스 스쿨을 Stern이라고 불리며, 이 스쿨에서는 학부과정과 석사 프로그램, MBA, 임원진교육과정, 전문자격과정, 온라인수업, PhD학위과정 등이 제공되고 있습니다.
이 중 MBA과정의 경우 다섯 종류가 있는데, Full-time MBA, Tech MBA, Fashion & Luxury MBA, Dual Degrees, Part-time MBA가 있습니다.
MBA를 크게 풀타임과 파트타임으로 구분하는 타대학과는 비교되는 부분이라 할 수 있습니다. 기술부분에 초점을 두는 1년짜리 풀타임 Tech MBA가 있고, 패션과 명품에 중점은 둔 Fashion & Luxury MBA가 있어 단순한 풀타임 MBA를 고르고 싶지 않은 학생들에게 선택의 폭을 넓혀 줍니다.
모든 스턴 졸업생은 일반 경영의 MBA를 가지고 졸업하는데 최대 3개의 세부 전문 분야를 선택하거나 아예 전문분야를 선택하지 않아도 됩니다. 최고의 비즈니스 스쿨 중에서 스턴은 가장 큰 선택과목을 가지고 있는 학교 중 하나입니다. 20개가 넘는 옵션 중 선택할 수 있으며 아래는 학생이 선택할 수 있는 전문 분야입니다.

또한, 학생들은 NYU의 대학원이나 국제 파트너 기관에서 학생들이 들어야 하는 과목 최대 25%를 Stern밖에서 수강할 수 있다고 합니다. 학생 자의로 선택할 수 있는 옵션이 많은 만큼 핵심 과목 역시 맞춤으로 구성할 수 있고, 학생별로 커리큘럼이 달라집니다. 아래는 2년 동안의 MBA 과정의 커리큘럼입니다.

Stern의 MBA과정을 지원할 때, 풀타임을 할지, 패션 및 명품 MBA인지, 아니면, Tech MBA를 할지 이 중에서 하나를 선택해서 지원해야 합니다.
입학 신청을 위해서는 학사 학위가 필요하며, 영어 능력을 증명해야 합니다.

EQ Endorsements는 추천서와 비슷한 것으로 추천인은 지원자의 능력과 수준을 등급을 매기며 다음의 다섯가지 질문을 답해야 합니다.
- Please provide a brief description of your interaction with the applicant and, if applicable, the applicant's role in your organization.
- How does the applicant's performance compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles (if applicable)? Please provide specific examples. (E.g. what are the applicant's principal strengths?)
- Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and the applicant's response.
- IQ+EQ is a core value of NYU Stern, and we seek exceptional individuals who possess both intellectual and interpersonal strengths. Emotional intelligence (EQ) skills such as self-awareness, empathy, communication and self-management are at the core of our community of leaders. Please provide one specific and compelling example to demonstrate the applicant's emotional intelligence.

한 명의 추천인은 현재 직장의 상사로 만약 이런 추천인이 없다면, 온라인 신청서에 사유를 적어야 합니다.
풀타임 MBA 지원 신청은 4라운드에 걸쳐 진행되며, 각각의 신청 마감일은 아래와 같습니다.
