미국 중부 버지니아의 명문주립대학교 University of Virginia 의 Darden School of Business에 대해서 알아보겠습니다. 항상 반달곰원장이 Darden MBA를 소개할 때마다 미국의 탑10MBA중에서 그 만큼 대우를 한국에서 덜 받는 것 같다고 말씀드렸던 것 같습니다. 버지니아대학교 Darden MBA는 미시간 Ross MBA나, UCB Haas MBA만큼 훌륭한 MBA이므로 많은 관심을 가지고 살펴보시길 바라겠습니다.

입학지원일정을 보면 early action인 경우 9월 3일 마감합니다. 그러므로 하버드MBA보다도 빠르다고 할 수가 있습니다. 라운드1의 마감일은 10월 4일, 라운드2의 마감일은 1월 6일, 라운드3의 마감일은 4월 6일 마감합니다. 그러므로 지금부터 입학지원준비를 서둘러야 하겠습니다. 그럼 입학지원조건들을 살펴보겠습니다.
STANDARDIZED TEST SCORE
Applicants are required to take a standardized test. In our Full-Time MBA application process, we accept the GMAT, GRE, LSAT and MCAT. We do not require official test scores in order to process and review your application.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST SCORE:영어점수의 최소조건은 없습니다. 그러나 합격생의 평균IBT점수는 106점입니다. IELTS, PTE를 모두 받습니다.
RÉSUMÉ
Please prepare a business résumé (as opposed to an academic CV) that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates and whether you worked part-time or full-time. As part of this résumé, also include a similar education history that includes dates and degrees, listed in reverse chronological order. The résumé should not be more than one page long.
SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS
Use the short answer questions to display your writing skills and tell us more about yourself. Emphasize those experiences, values and goals that are most important and meaningful to you. Be sincere and be specific. Tell us what particular experiences and expertise you will bring to the mix.

Share a time in which you engaged with a perspective, identity, community or experience that was different from your own and how it impacted your worldview. (200 words)
3. The Batten Foundation Worldwide Scholarship provides all Darden students in our full-time MBA program with an opportunity to participate in a Darden Worldwide Course. If you could choose any location in the world, where would you want to travel, and why? (50 words)
4. Tell us what you would want your learning team to know about you – personally, professionally, or both? (100 words)
5. What is your short-term, post-MBA goal and why? (150 words)
RECOMMENDATIONS
We require two recommendations that address the questions asked on our recommendation form. Additional recommendations may be submitted, but they should offer additional and valuable insight. Generally, work-related recommendations are more valuable than academic-related recommendations.
INTERVIEWS
An evaluative interview is conducted by invitation only after your application has been submitted and reviewed by the admissions committee. Interviews play a critical role in our assessment of candidates and are required prior to acceptance into the program. An invitation to interview is a positive indicator no matter when you receive it.
TRANSCRIPTS
It is expected that all applicants to Darden will have either completed their bachelor's degree at a college or university in the United States or hold a college or university degree equivalent to a four-year American baccalaureate degree. Darden will also recognize undergraduate degrees that were earned in only three years of study. We do not require official transcripts in order to process your application and get it to the committee for review

위와 같은 조건을 잘 만들어서 얼리액션부터 지원시작하시길 바랍니다. 그럼 어느 정도 수준의 성적과 점수를 만들어야 하는지 알아보도록 하겠습니다. class profile을 살펴보면 Darden MBA의 학생수는 335명으로 예일SOM MBA와 비슷한 규모입니다. 여학생 비율은 38%이고 국제학생의 비율은 31%입니다. 우리나라 학생들만 잘 안가는 것이 아니고 다른 나라의 학생들도 Darden MBA보다는 사람들에게 인지도가 좀 더 높은 다른 MBA를 선택하는 것 같습니다.

1년 학비가 70,700달러이고 2년이면 14만불이 넘는 학비입니다. 다덴MBA도 인도, 브라질, 스페인등 많은 나라를 방문하여 MBA인포세션을 하는데 필리핀까지는 방문을 하는데 한국 방문소식은 없네요. 매우 안타깝습니다. 인지도가 떨어진 만큼 인지도를 높이기 위해서 더 자주 한국에 와야 하는데 한국 방문 소식이 없어서 안타깝습니다.
