오늘은 UC San Diego의 Business Management Pre-Master 프로그램에 대해서 설명드리겠습니다.
이 과정은 UCSD의 대학부설 기관인 International Programs의 자격과정 프로그램 중의 일부로 이번에 새롭게 선보이는 과정입니다.
이 전문 자격 프로그램은 UCSD Rady School of Management의 석사 과정에 조건부로 입학할 수 있는 프리마스터 과정인데요. 미국 비즈니스 실무에 대한 광범위한 개론을 통해 직무 스킬 및 기술을 익히고, 대학원 과정을 준비할 수 있는 기회가 됩니다. 두 번째 쿼터에서 학생들은 다음의 분야 중 전문 분야를 선택해서 공부할 수 있습니다.

- Business Analytics and Leadership

교실에서의 경험을 보완하기 위해 120시간의 인턴쉽을 포함시켰습니다. 이 프로그램의 특징은 아래와 같습니다.
· Receive Conditional Nomination to Rady School of Management upon acceptance to the Pre-Master's track
· Develop solid business management skills with specialization in a field of your choice
· Practitioner-led instruction for foundational and advanced business, quantitative, leadership, and teamwork skills
· Complement your studies and build your professional contacts by completing a 120-hour unpaid internship at a local company.
· Study alongside international and American students
· After two quarters, receive a Professional Certificate in Business Management with a specialization in Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or International Business.
· Apply for Optional Practical Training after three consecutive quarters of study
· Students who receive official nomination continue on to Rady School of Management will receive a fellowship for the amount of $10,000 to be applied toward tuition costs at Rady.
이 과정은 국제 학생만 참여하는 과정이 아니라 현지 미국 학생과 함께 공부할 수 있는 과정으로 3쿼터를 마치면, OPT자격도 부여됩니다. 거기에 Rady경영스쿨로 공식적인 임명을 받는 학생들은 학비에 적용되는 등록금 지원금액1만불의 장학금도 수령할 수 있습니다.

· Financial Accounting for Non-Accountants (FAFNA) or Accounting I

2nd Quarter (12-15

· U.S. Academic Preparation Workshop(s)
· 120 hours of Internship
Two required courses in area of specialization:
3rd Quarter (12-15 units)
Advanced Studies:
If you successfully complete two quarters of Business Management, you can
further develop your skills in an area of specialization and earn a Certificate
of Completion in Advanced Studies.

2개의 쿼터를 성공적으로 마치면, 전공분야에서 스킬을 개발하고 수료증을 받을 수 있습니다.
이 프로그램의 비용은 신청비 $200, 특급우편료(선택사항) $50에 다음의 경비를 예상해야 합니다.
s Two-Quarter Tuition: $12,000
s Three-Quarter Tuition: $18,000
s International Student Service Fee: $760 (2 quarters), or $1,140 (3 quarters)
s UC San Diego Extension medical insurance: $1,170 (2 quarters), or $1,800 (3 quarters)
s Books/Materials: Approximately $300-$800 per quarter
프로그램 일정은 2019년 1월 3일 시작으로 2쿼터, 3쿼터의 일정은 아래와 같습니다.
Two Quarters:
· Winter 2019: January 3 - June 14
Three Quarters:
· Winter 2019: January 3 – September 7
입학 자격 조건은 대학 졸업 이상으로 영어 실력을 갖춰야 하며 신청 시 준비해야 하는 서류는 아래를 참고해주세요.

- 공인영어성적 (토플 80, IELTS 7.0 이상)
대학의 성적도 중요한데요. 4.0 만점에 GPA 3.0 이상의 우수한 성적을 가지고 있어야 하며, 인터뷰를 볼 수도 있기에 미리 인터뷰 연습도 해야 합니다.
입학 지원 자격에 직장 경력은 필요 없으나 MBA 지원자의 경우 직장 경력이 있는 것이 유리합니다. 프리마스터 과정은 비즈니스 매니지먼트 자격 프로그램의 커리큘럼과 상당히 비슷하게 갑니다. 여기에 리더쉽 개발 및 팀워크 기술을 포함하고, 미국 대학 및 경력 준비, GRE 연습 등이 포함되어 있습니다.
2019년에는 1월 개강밖에 없습니다. 2020년의 일정은 아직 알 수가 없기에 2019년이나 2020년 가을학기 Rady 경영스쿨의 비즈니스 석사 과정이나 MBA 입학을 목표로 한다면, 올해 11월 16일까지 프리마스터 과정에 지원을 하셔야 합니다.
