안녕하세요, 반달곰원장입니다.
며칠전에 진보정당인 정의당의 노회찬원내대표가 세상을 떠났습니다. 그분이 얼마나 노동자의 편에서, 없는자의 편에서 토쟁하고 노력한지를 국민들이 알고 있기에 그분의 죽음에 슬퍼하고 애도하는 것 같습니다. 반달곰원장도 이렇게 블로그에서나마 삼가 명복을 기원드리고 저세상에서는 그분이 원하시는 사람다운 세상속에서 행복하게 지내시길 바랍니다. 정말 벌써 그분이 그립습니다.
반달곰원장도 고등학교 동기동창회장을 20년 넘게 해봤기에 고등학교동창이 얼마나 중요하고 소중한지 알고 있습니다. 그런데 순수해야할 그런 우정을 이용하여 친구를 곤란하게 만드는 일이 종종 생깁니다. 돈을 빌리고 갚지를 않는다던가, 엉뚱한 곳에 투자하게 만들고 깡통을 만들던가, 정말 사람을 힘들게 할 뿐만 아니라 극단적인 선택을 만드는 경우를 봅니다. 제발 순수함을 이용하는 일은 제발 없었으면 하는 마음입니다.

Optional Essay
There also is an optional essay for additional information about your candidacy that you may wish to share with the admissions committee.
Use this essay to convey important information that you may not have otherwise been able to convey. This may include unexplained resume gaps, context for recommender selection, etc.
필수에세이는 3개이고 optional essay는 하나입니다. Tepper MBA의 학비는 1년에 66000달러입니다. 그러므로 2년MBA이므로 132000달러가 총 학비입니다. 참고로 Tepper의 파트타임 온라인 MBA는 미국랭킹 1위인데 학비가 학기가 16500달러입니다. 그런데 8학기이므로 총 학비는 132000달러로 같습니다. 일리노이대학교 어바나샴페인 온라인MBA인 IMBA의 학비가 총 22000달러이내 인것과 비교하면 정말 비싼 것을 알 수가 있습니다. 그러므로 카네기 멜론 Tepper MBA에 대해서 잘 고려하셔서 지원하시길 바라겠습니다.
