위에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 상당히 좋은 랭킹을들을 보여주고 있는데 이런 홍콩의 CityU Hong Kong MBA에 입학지원하기 위해서는 무엇이 필요한지 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

Admissions Requirements

When evaluating an application, we consider various factors (including academic achievements, professional experiences, and personal accomplishments) from a holistic perspective: 

 

An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with an acceptable GPA, or equivalent.

Relevant work experience* is desirable (though not specifically required).  

An applicant is expected to have a satisfactory GMAT/GRE score (which can be submitted after the application). For applicants with substantial years of work experience, the GMAT/GRE requirement may be waived on a case-by-case basis.

All shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview.

English Proficiency Requirement 

Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement:

 

a score of TOFEL 79 (iBT) or 550 (PBT); or

an overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or

score 450 in the new College English Test (CET6) of Chinese mainland or a pass in the old CET-6 test; or

other equivalent qualifications

위의 내용의 핵심만을 살펴보면 직장경력의 경우 직장경력이 있기를 바라나 필수조건은 아닙니다. 그리고 GMAT/GRE를 요구하나 케이스 바이 케이스 GMAT/GRE면제를 받을 수가 있습니다. 그리고 영어 조건은 IBT 79, PBT 550, IELTS 6.5 를 요구하고 있어 다른 홍콩MBA보다는 입학조건이 어렵지 않은 상황입니다. 

이런 CityU MBA의 학비를 살펴보면 일반MBA 40학점을 이수하면 HK$338,000이고 one Concentration의 학비는 HK$414,050 Two Concentration 의 학비는 HK$490,100 입니다. 한화로 환산하면 4천8백만원, 약 5천9백만원, 약 7천만원 정도입니다. 학비가 만만하지가 않은 것을 알 수 있습니다. 그러나 아래와 같은 장학금이 있기에 너무 걱정하지 않으셔도 되십니다.

MBA Elite Scholarship	10,000-200,000	Applicants admitted with significant work experience, outstanding academic or job achievement, and/ or evidence of leadership in extracurricular activities and community services will be considered and nominated.
MBA GMAT Scholarship • Score over 750 • Score over 700 • Score over 650	80,000-100,000 50,000-80,000 20,000-50,000	Applicants admitted with a high GMAT score will be nominated. The actual amount to be awarded within each category depends on the candidates’ highest GMAT score within the past five years, as well as their communication skill and English proficiency judged from the admission interview. Those applicants who have attained GMAT score of over 600 and who have significant work experience may be considered for the award with the value of HK$5,000 to 15,000 each.
MBA Diversity Contribution Scholarship	15,000-60,000	Outstanding international applicants or applicants with overseas work/education experience (outside HK and China) or special talents will be considered and nominated upon admission.
CityU MBA Scholarship for Outstanding Students/Alumni
MBA Concentration / Internship Scholarship	Up to 45,000	Outstanding students admitted to pursue the MBA concentration curriculum will be considered and nominated for the Concentration Scholarship with the amount of up to HK$30,000.  Students successfully offered a non-compensated internship and fulfilling the FB6774 MBA Internship/Community Service requirement will be considered and nominated for the Internship Scholarship with the amount ranging from HK$5,000 to 15,000.
MBA Student Ambassador Scholarship	5,000-20,000	With a selection process, students with outstanding leadership, excellent communication skills, or special talents will be considered and nominated to serve as MBA Student Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are obligated to represent and make contributions to CityU MBA programme in a passionate manner.
MBA Academic Excellence Award	15,000	Students who have developed excellence in scholastic performance with an overall cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above at graduation may be considered and nominated.
