지금 반달곰원장은 바하마 나쏘에서 미국 마이애미로 다시 돌아가기 위해서 Nassau의 국제공항인 Lynden Pindling International Airport에서 미국입구 심사까지 다 받고 Graycliff 라운지에서 우아하게 일하고 있습니다. Bahamian Brewery인 Sands 병맥주를 마시면서 오늘은 어떤 좋은 학교에 대한 정보를 들가 고민하다가 ICEF Miami Workshop에서 만난 California Baptist University 의 dean of international programs 인 Bryan이 생각나서 그 학교 소식을 전달해드립니다.
보통 CBU라고 부르는 이 대학교는 미국 엘에이 인근의 리버사이드에 있습니다. 리버사이드하면 매우 유명한 주립대학교인 UC Riverside가 있습니다. 바로 그곳에 사립이고 크리스찬 또한 liberal art 대학교인 CBU가 있습니다. 1950년 California Baptist College라는 이름으로 설립된 CBU는 현재 WASC의 인증을 받은 종합대학교입니다. 이 대학교에 아래와 같은 단과대학교들이 있습니다.

위에서 보면은 알 수 있듯이 많은 단과대학교를 가지고 있습니다. 워크샵에서 만난 international program의 dean인 Bryan과 방문학자 프로그램에 대해서 상의를 하였는데 자기가 도와줄 수 있다면서 매우 적극성을 띄우더군요. 그래서 고교 대학교 후배가 교수로 있는데 어렵다고 하더라 그랬더니 자기가 알아볼테니 자료를 보내달라고 하더군요. 글쎄 의욕은 좋은데 어찌 될지 모르겠네요. 위에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 arts, engineering, health science, business music, education등 다양한 전공을 제공하고 있어서 방문학자를 받아준다면 매우 좋은 대학교가 될 것입니다. 이것은 반달곰원장과 Bryan이 풀어갈 문제이고요, 오늘은 CBU이 MBA프로그램에 대해서 설명을 드리겠습니다.

Applicants are evaluated for admission based on the following criteria:

1. Application for admission with a $45 non-refundable application fee
2. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or the evaluated equivalency
3. Official sealed transcripts from all colleges and universities attended sent to CBU Graduate Admissions
4. Two recommendations from academic or professional sources.
5. Comprehensive Essay of at least 1000 words that includes the following:
• Purpose for entering the program
• Long-term professional goals
• Reasons for choosing to study at California Baptist University
• Factors that will make applicant a good MBA candidate
6. Current Resume
7. GMAT- May not be required for applicants with high GPA or significant work experience
8. Prerequisites (completed with a "C" or better)
Applicants should possess the following common body of knowledge from prerequisite courses or approved work
related experience in:
• Principles of Accounting I
• Principles of Marketing
• Statistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
9. Successful interview(s) with the Assistant Dean of the Graduate Business Programs.
10. An applicant whose first language is not English and/or does not have a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction is required to demonstrate language proficiency. IBT 80, IELTS 6.5
