오늘은 반달곰원장이 미국 보스톤으로 넘어갑니다. 몸은 비록 스페인 세비야에 있지만 마음은 MIT Sloan으로 달려가고 있습니다. 반달곰원장이 소개해드린 풀타임 Executive MBA 으로는 시애틀에 있는 University of Washington Foster MBA와 버지니아에 있는 University of Virginia Darden MBA가 있었던 것 같습니다. 물론 그 전에는 바로 MIT의 1년 풀타임 MBA학위를 받을 수 있는 MIT Sloan Fellow Program을 소개해드린 적이 있었습니다.
그래서 오늘은 리마인드 하는 기분으로 바로 MIT Sloan MBA프로그램을 설명을 드리고자 하는데 이 프로그램이 어느 분들에게 맞느냐하면 바로 다음과 같은 분들이 맞을 것 같습니다. 경력이 10년이상인 중견 간부이상이고, GMAT이나 GRE이 준비를 못한 분들은 MIT 의 Assessment test를 통해서 입학할 수 있기에 그나마 다른 MBA보다는 부담이 덜 할 것입니다. 그러나 말씀드렸듯이 MBA를 아무나 입학하는 것이 아니고 학교에서도 MIT Sloan Fellow Program에 적합하다고 생각하는 사람들에 대한 기준을 아래와 같이 정의해놓으니 참고하시길 바라겠습니다.
Assess your qualifications.
A strong candidate to the MIT Sloan Fellows Program:
· Demonstrate the motivation and potential to lead an established organization or a new venture.
· Push boundaries and tackle challenges that others might think too difficult to achieve.
· Work in a global environment or demonstrate a committed global perspective.
· Hold an undergraduate degree and at least 10 years of relevant, post-undergraduate, full-time work experience (internships do not count toward this time).
· Have a valid GMAT or GRE score (taken within the last 5 years) or an Executive Assessment exam score.
· Exhibit exceptional leadership performance, functional expertise, and a commitment to fostering and leading innovation.
· Be committed to a year of self-reflection and professional growth.
· Possess the capability and interest to master the rigorous curriculum.
· Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

입학지원을 보니 9월 18일 즉, 10일후에 1라운드 마감이 끝납니다. 그 다음에는 12월 4일 마감을 하고 마지막은 2월 12일 마감을 하므로 서둘러서 지원준비를 하여야 합니다. MIT Sloan Fellow Program 입학지원을 위해서는 아래와 같은 입학지원 서류가 필요합니다.

Please tell us about a time you were recently on a team which had competing priorities. What challenges did you face, how did you approach the challenges and what did you learn from this experience? (500 words or less)
Video Statement
Please introduce yourself to your future classmates via a brief 60 second video statement. (This video will be used for application purposes only and will not be shared.) Videos should be a single take (no editing) lasting no more than one minute and consisting of you speaking directly to the camera. We recommend using an application such as QuickTime or iMovie to record yourself.
Additional Information (optional):
You will have the option to provide any additional information you would like the Admissions Committee to know that may be helpful in evaluating your candidacy (i.e. choice of recommenders, areas of concern in your academic record, other extenuating circumstances, etc.). This information should be provided in a written format (200 words or less).

Two (2) professional recommendation letters are required.

Beginning this year, we will require all applicants to submit a valid GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment (EA) score.
The EA was specifically designed for busy professionals and provides the Admissions Committee with a universal measure to evaluate candidates.
English proficiency
We no longer require a TOEFL or IELTS exam.
Application fee
Your application to the MIT Sloan Fellows Program must include a $250 application fee, payable online by credit card.
Interview
An in-depth, in-person interview-by invitation only-is the final step in the application process. only selected applicants who have completed their application will be considered for interviews. If you are selected for an interview, we will send you an invitation via email. Interviews are conducted October through March in Cambridge and at various locations around the world.
