오늘은 워싱턴DC에 있는 Georgetown University McDonough School of Business 에 대해서 알아보겠습니다. 조지타운 McDonough School of Business에는 Undergraduate program을 포함하여, Full Time MBA, Evening MBA, Executive MBA, Global Executive MBA, MS in Finance, MA in International Business and Policy, Corporate International Master's 등이 있습니다. 물론 오늘 살펴볼 프로그램은 US News and World Report 의 MBA랭킹에서 22위를 차지한 Full Time MBA 프로그램입니다.
McDonough MBA는 21개월 MBA프로그램입니다. 2017년도 입학을 위한 지원일정은 아래와 같습니다.

총 3라운드의 마감이 있는데 10월 10일, 1월 5일, 4월 1일입니다. 지원서제출하고 약 2개월정도 뒤에 합격여부를 통지받을 수가 있습니다. 그럼 application checklist를 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.
위의 자료외에 국제학생들은 영어성적을 제출하여야 합니다. McDonough 는 최저점수 조건이 있는데 아주 명확합니다. IBT 100, PBT 600, CBT 250 IELTS 7.5 PTE 68점이상입니다. IELTS 7.5이상은 상당히 어렵기에 토플로 준비하는 것이 좋을 것 같습니다.
그리고 추천서는 조지타운대학교에서 1부만을 요구하고 있습니다. GMAT/GRE 점수에서는 최소점수 조건은 없습니다. 그럼 어느 정도의 점수가 있어야 하는지를 알기 위해서는 class profile을 살펴보면 좋겠지요.
Georgetown McDonough Full Time MBA에는 2034명이 지원을 해서270명이 등록을 하였습니다. 합격생의 평균 연령은 28세이고 80%는 23세에서 38세사이입니다. GMAT의 평균 점수는 692이고 median은 700점입니다. 80%은의 학생은 640-740점사이입니다. GPA의 평균은 3.36, median은 3.33이고 80%의 학생은 2.92-3.77사이입니다. 평균 직장경력은 4.97년입니다.

Essays
We want to hear your story. When responding to our required essays, be authentic and take time to reflect on your goals and past experiences. Craft a response that explains how these experiences led you to pursue an MBA.
- Essay one: We would like to learn more about you. Please answer the following essay question in 500 words or less: “What matters to you? Please share an experience from your past that illustrates why this matters to you and how it will enable you to contribute during your MBA Program (note: this does not necessarily need to be related to your professional goals).”
- Video Essay: We ask that you prepare a one-minute video, upload it to an accessible website (such as Youtube, Vimeo, Youku, or Tudou), and submit the direct video URL into your online application. - Optional Essay one: If you are not currently employed full-time, use this essay to provide information about your current activities. (250 words or fewer)
