오늘은 지난번 호주의 University of New South Wales에 이어서 University of Queensland에 대해서 알아보겠습니다. 전반적인 UQ 학교에 대한 정보를 살펴본 후에 UQ Business School에 대해서도 자세히 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.
UQ는 호주 퀸즈랜드의 수도인 브리즈번에 위치한 연구중심의 대학교입니다. UQ는 전세계 International University 랭킹에서 탑랭킹중에 한 학교로 지속적으로 선정되고 있으며, St Lucia에 있는 UQ의 메인 캠퍼스는 세계에서 가장 아름다운 캠퍼스의 하나로 또한 선정되어 오고 있습니다.
1909년에 설립된 UQ는 호주의 가장 오래되고 가장 학생들에게 선택받는 학교중의 하나이고 호주의 아이비리그라고 할 수 있는 Group of Eight에 한 학교이기도 합니다. 다음은 UQ Business School에 대해서 말씀드리겠습니다.
University of Queensland Business School은 브리즈번에 위치해 있고 7개의전문분야가 있습니다. 그 분야는 아래와 같습니다. Accounting, Business Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, Strategy, Tourism. 옛날에는 the Department of Business School 라고 불리우던 학교에서 1972년에 MBA프로그램을 처음으로 제공하였고, 그것은 퀸즈랜드 초초의 MBA였습니다.

이 중에서 UQ MBA과정의 입학조건 및 입학지원일정들을 살펴보도록 하겠습니다. UQ MBA는 유연 성있게 제공되는 1년MBA인 Accelerated MBA와 직장일을 하면서 MBA를 할 수 있는 24개월 Streamlined MBA과정이 있습니다.
UQ MBA에 입학하기 위해서는 학사학위 이상이어야 하고 7.0스케일에서 4.5이상의 GPA를 가져야 합니다. 그리고 직장 경력은 졸업 후 4년이상이어야 하고 그중에 2년은 매니저 경력이면 좋습니다. 그럼 그 외에 부가적인 서류와 점수 조건을 안내하여 드리겠습니다.
Additional application requirements
- Official transcripts of previous studies.
- Evidence of work experience including details of management experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis.
- Two written references that are work related. Your referees need to substantiate the nature of your work and the managerial duties you currently perform. They should verify details including but not limited to: managing a team of people, managing client accounts, the managerial components of any major projects you have been directly responsible for, and/or financial delegations for which you are directly responsible. All references must be to the satisfaction of the MBA Director.
- Evidence of residency status.
