[미국최고경영자과정] 스탠포드대학교 GSB 의 Executive Education 소식

 

 

 

 

 

동부의 하버드, 서부에는 스탠포드. 어제서야 스탠퍼드대학교가 어떻게 생겼는지 이야기를 들었습니다. 하버드를 다니나가 죽은 아들을 기념하기위해 하버드대학교에 기념관을 하나 설립하기 위해 하버드를 방문했던 Leland Stanford 노부부는 낡은 옷차림으로 인해 하버드총장한테 불친절한 응대를 받은 후에 어느 정도의 비용이면 대학교를 설립할 수 있는지를 알고서 보스톤을 떠나 팔로알토로 향하여 학교를 직접 설립합니다. 그 학교이름이 Leland Stanford Jr. University 이지요, 바로 지금의 스탠포드 대학교랍니다.
