게임 디자인 MFA 학위를 취득하기 위해서는 다음의 조건을 모두 충족해야 합니다.
• Complete a minimum of 64 graduate credit hours in the designated degree program.
• Complete all graduate courses and requirements listed in the designated degree program.
• Earn a grade of C- or better in all graduate courses of the designated degree program.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Satisfactorily complete the MFA thesis as determined by the student's MFA Advisor Committee.
• Students cannot count credit earned towards a previously awarded master's or MFA degree toward the completion of this MFA program.
최소한 64학점을 이수해야 하며, 성적은 C이상으로 최소 GPA가 2.5이상이어야 합니다. 그리고, 논문 조건도 충족해야 합니다.
학비는 대학원의 경우, 학점당 학비로 책정되어 있으며, College of Computing and Digital Media의 경우, 2022-2023학년도의 한 학점당 $882입니다. 게임디자인은 최소 64학점을 취득해야 하니 64 x 882 = $56,448을 예상해 볼 수 있습니다.
MFA 장학금이 있는데, 제한된 수로 $7,500의 장학금이 새로 입학하는 MFA 학생들에게 쿼터별로 $2,500씩 지급됩니다. 자격 조건으로는 CDM 칼리지의 MFA 전공에 들어오는 신입생이어야 하고, 우선 순위의 입학 전형 마감일 전에 지원해야 하고, 포트폴리오 심사를 거쳐야 합니다.

최종 지원 마감은 자리가 있다면, 지원할 수 있으며, 입학결과는 입학 신청 후 한 달 이내에 알 수 있습니다.
게임디자인의 입학 신청 자격 조건은 대학학위, 성적, 영어실력과 같은 것들입니다.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Bachelor’s degree awarded from a regionally accredited institution
• Test of English Proficiency (for international students)
• Submission of admission materials (as detailed under Steps to Apply)
영어가 모국어가 아니라면, 영어실력을 증명해야 하며, 영어성적을 제출해서 증명할 경우, TOEFL은 최소 80점 이상, IELTS는 6.5이상입니다.
하지만, 위의 다이렉트 입학에 필요한 영어 점수를 충족하지 못한 학생들은 조건부 입학을 할 수 있는데, 드폴의 English Language Academy(ELA)를 거쳐 영어 조건을 충족한 후 학위 과정을 시작할 수 있습니다. 여기서 University Bridge 자격을 취득하면, DePaul의 학위 프로그램에서 요구하는 영어 숙련도의 조건을 충족하게 됩니다.
CDM 칼리지와 ELA 조합의 프로그램을 고려한다면, 학생들은 다음의 영어 점수로 조건부 입학이 가능합니다.
• 55-79 on the iBT TOEFL test
• 480-549 on the paper-based TOEFL test
• 5.5-6.0 on the IELTS test
• 44-52 on the Pearson Test of English
• minimum overall score of 90 on the Duolingo English Test (DET)
입학신청에 앞서 학생들이 준비해야 하는 서류와 준비물은 다음과 같습니다.

에세이는 Statement of Creative Intent로 자신의 예술적 목표와 왜 MFA에 지원했는지 최대 2페이지 분량으로 작성하면 됩니다.
포트폴리오는 아래의 예를 참고해서 준비하시기 바랍니다.
• Series of digital prototypes or games demonstrating your breadth and depth of work in the field. Include download links, installation, and gameplay instructions.
• Board game or physical game. Include detailed documentation including video and photographs of gameplay as well as rules.
• Game design document. This communicates the elements of a game project you’ve worked on at both a high level overview and technical detail.
• Performance or event. Include documentation of project including video, photographs, and script.
• Writing samples such as a scholarly article, essay, or creative writing. If you are primarily submitting written portfolio items, include a critical analysis of any game and an original game design document, each between 500-750 words.
• Creative practice in a professional field (animation, video, film, applications, graphic design, etc.).
