ISU는 INTO의 패스웨이를 통해 대학 및 대학원 과정으로 진학할 수 있는 대학으로 고등학교나 대학의 학업 성적이 다이렉트 입학으로 진행하기에는 낮거나 필요한 영어 성적이 준비되지 않았을 경우 조건부로 입학이 가능합니다.
Actuarial Science 대학원 과정은 전형적으로 32학점의 프로그램입니다. 학사 학위 이후 2년 이내에 프로그램을 마칠 수 있습니다. 학교는 보험계리학 학생들이 경제학, 금융, 보험, 법률과 관련된 수업을 듣도록 강력히 권장하고 있습니다.

- have a minimum 3.2 GPA (on a scale in which an A is a 4.0) for the last 60 hours of undergraduate work
- present official transcripts from each college or university other than Illinois State at which graduate, undergraduate, or non-degree credit was earned
학사 학위와 성적이 GPA 3.2/4.0 이상이 필요합니다. 그리고, 공인영어 성적으로 토플은 79점 이상 혹은 아이엘츠 6.5이상을 요구하고 있습니다. 거기에 수학관련 전공이다 보니 학생들은 최소 3학기 이상 미적분학, 1학기의 선형대수학, 4개의 수학 관련 코스를 들어야 합니다. 그리고, 학업계획서 및 이력서가 필요하며, 추천서, GRE도 준비가 필요합니다.
- have a minimal mathematics background of three semesters of Calculus, one semester of Linear Algebra, and four quantitative courses above the Calculus/Linear Algebra level (for example, advanced mathematics, finance, statistics, econometrics, etc). If it is not clear from your transcripts that you have this background, please explain in your statement of purpose.
- upload a resume or C.V.
- upload a statement of purpose explaining your interest in pursuing a graduate degree in mathematics from Illinois State, how your academic and professional goals align, and what you hope to achieve as a graduate student in mathematics. If your background is not in mathematics, please explain in your statement.
- include the name of at least one letter of recommendation. Two letters are required for those who would like to be considered for graduate assistantship and/or partial tuition waiver. Letters will be uploaded by the letter writers directly and should address academic ability and the ability to communicate mathematics.

ISU의 보험계리학 전공은 MS in Mathematics의 시퀀스로 제공하는 것으로 다음과 같이 과목을 수강해야 합니다.

- 12 hours: 3 courses selected from: MAT 355, 380, 381, 383, 384, 443, 480, or 483
- 3 mathematics courses numbered 407 or above

- The Department reserves the right to enforce professional standards of practice as specified by the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society. These standards may be taken into consideration in program retention decisions.
여기서 Option 1과 2는 논문작성할 경우와 그렇지 않을 경우로 선택해서 수업을 선택하게 되어 있습니다.
