지난 포스팅에서University of Alicante의 대학부설 어학원인 Language Center에서 제공하는 스페인어 어학연수 과정에 대해서 설명드렸다면, 오늘은 이 대학의 정규 학위 과정에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.
University of Alicante는 1968년에 세워진 University Study Center라는 구조에 1979년 10월에 만들어졌습니다. UA의 School 및 Faculty는 아래와 같이 나눠져 있습니다.

위 여러개의 단과대학에서 인문학, 과학, 보건과학, 사회/법률 과학, 공학/건축 분야 학사 학위 과정과 다양한 복수 학사 학위, Joint 학사 학위 등이 제공됩니다. 그리고, 석사 및 박사 학위 코스도 제공하는데요. 국제학생이 이 대학의 학사 및 석사 학위 과정에 입학하기 위한 입학 절차에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.
외국 학교를 나온 학생이 스페인의 알리칸테 국립대학에 지원하기 위해서는 스페인 대학의 일반적인 입학 지원 조건을 충족시켜야 하며 제한된 입학으로 공립 대학의 학위 과정에 들어가기 위한 공식적인 절차인 사전 등록 기간에 지원해야 합니다.
Non-EU 출신의 외국 학생들은 스페인 이외의 지역에서 공부하고, 스페인에서 대학을 입학하려면, 고등학교 성적 변환 절차를 거쳐야 하며, 대학 입학시험인 PCE(Prueba de Competencias Especificas)를 치러야 합니다.
이 시험은 National Distance Education University (UNED)가 주최하는 일반 입학 시험으로 라틴아메리카의 수도도시, 유럽, 모로코, 기니와 스페인 전지역에 대학입학 시험을 제공하고 있습니다.
일년에 두번의 시험 기간이 있는데, 한번은 6월 초(응시는 4월)와 9월(7월 말 등록)에 있습니다. 대학 입학 시험의 형태는 아래와 같습니다.
General phase: Compulsory. It consists of 4 tests.
- Comment on a text. Spanish language
- Foreign language (German, French, English, Italian, Portuguese)
- History of Spain or History of Philosophy
- A modality subject
일반 단계에 합격하면 스페인 대학의 공식 학부 학위 과정에 들어갈 수 있습니다. 스페인 교육부는 외국 학생을 위해 일반 과목의 내용을 조정한다고 합니다.
Specific phase: Voluntary.
It has a temporary validity of 2 years. This phase is intended to improve
admission grades.
- In this phase, students can sit for those modality subjects related to the studies they want to take.
- Of all the subjects sat by the students in this phase, only the best two grades, over 5 points, will be taken into consideration.
- It is highly recommended to take exams in the specific phase if students want to enter those undergraduate degrees where the demand is higher than the offer (e.g. medicine, nursing, architecture, teaching, translation, etc.)
특정 단계에서는 일반 전공보다 입학이 좀 까다로운 의학, 간호, 건축, 교육학, 통번역 등 분야에 입학하기 위한 전형으로 최고로 좋은 두 개의 점수만을 선택하게 되어 있습니다.
Master’s degree 과정에 입학은 전공에 따라 두개의 다른 기간으로 진행이 됩니다. 보통 첫 번째 단계가 끝나고, 더 이상의 빈 자리가 없을 경우 두 번째 전형/단계는 없습니다.
단일 전형으로 진행되는 전공으로는 Master for Academic staff of Secondary Education이 있습니다. 한 번 밖에 없기 때문에 정해진 기간안에 모든 지원을 마쳐야 합니다.
지원자는 다음의 준비를 통해 지원하게 됩니다.
- ID Card (Spanish ID card - DNI), foreigner's Identification number (NIE) or passport (both sides).
- Official undergraduate degree certificate giving access to the relevant Master's degree or evidence of having paid the issuing fees for such a degree certificate (*)
- Student's academic record (*)
- Certain Master's degrees require specific documents, these documents are not stated on the pre-registration form. (**)
- If you belong to any of the groups with special admission quota: certificate of belonging to this special admission quota group.
(*) University of Alicante students only need to submit their currently valid ID cards (both sides).
(**) Even though you are required to hold the undergraduate degree giving access to the Master's degree of your choice, you are allowed to submit your pre-registration form without it.
외국 학위를 가진 국제 학생의 지원의 경우 위의 서류 이외에 다음과 같은 추가의 서류를 제출해야 합니다.
- Statement of equivalence of GPA (Grade Point Average) for foreign university entry qualifications.
- Translation of documents (only in the case of documents not written in Spanish or Valencian/Catalan)
- If your degree has not been obtained in a country of the European Space of Upper Education, you will have to present the payment proof of the study of equivalence fee (DOCV 17/08/2016 Annex I, title II, point 3.3).
University of Alicante는 이중 언어 사용으로 국제적인 대학이 되기 위한 노력을 끊임없이 하고 있습니다. 대부분의 모든 수업이 스페인어로 진행되지만, 일부의 컴퓨터 과학과 비즈니스 학위, 경제학 대학원 프로그램과 일부 PhD 학위 과정은 영어로 진행됩니다. 또한 일부 과정은 발렌시아 언어로 가르치고 있습니다. 많은 문화 활동은 영어, 불어와 여러 다른 나라로 진행되며, 스페인어 랭귀지 과정은 지난 포스팅에서 설명했듯이 연중 제공되며, 여름철에도 단기 과정으로 들을 수 있습니다.
UA의 학부 과정에서 공부하려면 학생들은 최소한 B1이상의 언어 실력을 가져야 하며, B2이상을 권장합니다. 최종 학년 프로젝트를 수행하기 위해서는 언어 능력은 필수입니다.
