오늘은 스페인의 ESIC Business & Marketing School의 MBA 프로그램에 대해서 문의하신 분이 계셔서 이 학교 프로그램에 대해서 다시 한번 말씀드리겠습니다. ESIC School에서 제공하는 MBA프로그램에는 스페인어로 제공하는 MBA, Executive MBA와 영어로 제공하는 Global MBA와 International MBA이 있습니다. 이중에서 외국인 학생들이 관심을 가지고 지원하는 MBA는 바로 Global MBA와 International MBA프로그램입니다.

위에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 다양한 랭킹지로 부터 실력있는 비즈니스스쿨로 인정되고 있슴을 알 수가 있습니다. 우리나라에서는 랭킹이 중요하기에 ESIC MBA프로그램은 IE MBA, IESE MBA, ESADE MBA는 아니지만 실력을 갖추고 학생들에게 인기가 많은 것은 알 수가 있습니다.
그럼 ESIC Business School의 Global MBA부터 알아보겠습니다. ESIC 글로벌 MBA는 기간이 20개월과정입니다. 재미있는 것은 스페인 마드리드에서 뿐만 아니라 중국 상해와 미국 마이애미에서 공부를 하고 학위를 세개나 받을 있다는 것입니다. 즉, ESIC IMBA학위, 중국 상해의 SISU MBA 그리고 미국 마이애미 Florida International University MIB학위를 취득할 수가 있습니다.
세개국가에서 3개 학위를 취득한다는 점이 지금 말씀드리는 International MBA와는 다릅니다. IMBA는 미국을 빼고 스페인 마드리드의 ESIC IMBA와 SISU IMBA학위를 취득하는 18개월 MBA과정입니다. 수업의 55%는 마드리드에서 진행되고 45%는 중국 상해에서 진행이 됩니다. Global MBA와 International MBA에 가장 빨리 입학할 수 있는 시기는 2018년 10월입니다.
이런 GMBA와 IMBA를 위해서는 아래와 같은 입학서류와 조건을 만들어야 합니다.
Along with this form applicants need to submit:
• Copy of the passport,
• Two passport-sized photos,
• CV,
• A degree transcript giving final degree result and breakdown of individual subjects and grades (in English or Spanish). Copies should be authenticated/ notarised,
• GMAT scores (only for the IMBA and GMBA). Applicants not in possession of GMAT scores will be invited to take a skills and knowledge examination developed by ESIC.
• Proof of command of the English language, mainly IELTS or TOEFL IBT results (minimum 6.5 and 95 respectively). Applicants not in possession of any of these proofs can do a language test at ESIC (please arrange this with the admissions office),
• Two reference letters. These letters are expected to make explicit references to the applicant’s potential to develop a professional career in business and to pursue Master’s level studies.
GMAT점수가 있어야 하고 영어점수도 IELTS 6.5또는 IBT 95점이상을 만들어야 합니다. 영어점수가 없을 경우에는 학교에서 영어시험을 볼 수가 있습니다. 그런데 한국에서 영어 토플점수등을 만드는 것이 좋지 스페인까지 날아가서 영어시험을 보는 것은 불안할 것이라서 추천하지 않습니다.
이렇게 입학조건은 똑같은데 학비는 프로그램별로 다릅니다. GMBA의 학비는 49000유로입니다. 그리고 IMBA의 학비는 30600유로입니다. 아무래도 중국에서 공부하는 것이 거의 절반이다 보니 IMBA의 학비가 훨씬 더 경제적입니다.
