Capilano University는 1968년에 처음 학생을 등록시켰는데 그때 학생수가 784명이었습니다. 이 대학교는 로컬 학교 위원회에 의해서 설립되었고 784명으로 시작된 학생수가 지금은 매년 11000명의 학생의 등록을 하고 있습니다. 2008년에 총장인 Greg Lee의 지휘아래에서 community college에서 university로서의 지위로 올라섰습니다. 일년에 세번 인테이크가 있는데 그 얼리 데드라인은 각각 3월 31일, 9월 15일, 1월 31일 이고 레귤러 데드라인은 5월 31일, 10월 15일, 그리고 2월 15일입니다. 그러므로 가을 데드라인에 맞추어서 영어점수와 지원작업을 하면 됩니다. 9월 15일이나 10월 15일에 촛점을 맞추면 되겠습니다. 국제학생의 경우 학비는 크레딧당 572달러이므로 학비가 비싸지 않습니다. 그리고 캐나다달러이므로 훨씬 더 여유롭게 학비를 부담할 수가 있습니다.
