오늘은 미국 미주리주 St. Louis 에 있는 명문 사립대학교인 Washington University에 대해서 말씀드리고자 합니다. Washington University는 보통 WashU라고 칭합니다. 1853년에 설립되었는데 George Washington의 이름을 따서 Washington University라고 대학교 이름을 지었습니다. 바로 이 명문사립대학교 WashU 안에 미국 탑랭킹 비즈니스 스쿨인 Olin Business School의 MBA프로그램에 대해서 말씀드리고자 합니다.
WashU Olin Business School은 Full Time MBA, Professional MBA, 그리고 Specialized Master프로그램을 제공하고 있습니다. Master과정에는 accounting, supply chain management(STEM), customer analytics(STEM), Quantitative Finance(STEM), Corporate Finance and Investments, Wealth and Asset Management, Global Finance 등이 있습니다. 이중에서 미국 탑랭킹 Full Time MBA에 대해서 설명을 드리겠습니다.
WashU Olin MBA는 졸업 3개월 후 취업율 placement rate이 96%이고 학생들의 평균 나이는 28세입니다. 평균 직장 경력은 5년이고 average GMAT score는 688점입니다. 훌륭한 점수입니다. Olin MBA의 학비는 1년에 $57900입니다. 즉 2년MBA는 115800달러 정도가 됩니다. 그럼 Olin MBA의 입학지원일정을 살펴보도록 하겠습니다. 아직 2018년도 일정이 안나왔지만 작년 일정을 보면 언제 지원할 수 있을지 알 수 있을 것입니다.

입학지원일정을 살펴보면 재미있는 것이 1월 마감이 없고 12월 1일의 2라운드 마감과 2월 1일의 3라운드 마감이 있다는 것입니다. 그리고 마지막 라운드는 4월 3일에 마감을 합니다. 그러면 그 일정에 맞추어서 준비해야 할 admission requirements는 다른 탑랭킹 MBA들과 비슷합니다. 그런데 비슷하지만 특이한 것은 Olin MBA는 춫너서를 요구하지 않는다는 것입니다. 추천서를 요구하지 ㅇ낳는 MBA는 거의 없습니다. 그런데 Olin MBA는 요구하지 않습니다. 그리고 application fee가 없습니다. 보통 탑랭킹 MBA들이 지원서비를 200달러에서 300달러 사이를 받는데 여기는 없습니다. 그럼 에세이 질문 만을 살펴보고 넘어가도록 하겠습니다.

필수 에세이 2개와 옵션 에세이 1개가 있는데 특별한 이유가 없는데 필수 에세이에 집중하고 넘어가면 됩니다. 옵션에세이를 쓴다고 더 점수를 주거나 하지는 않습니다. 그냥 학교에서 요구하는대로 기본적인 에세이를 잘 작성하면 됩니다.
