오늘은 독일의 탑 MBA인 ESMT MBA 를 소개해드리겠습니다. 워낙 유명한 독일의 탑랭킹 비즈니스 스쿨인 ESMT MBA는 세계3대인증기관인 AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA의 인증을 모두 받은 명문 비즈니스 스쿨입니다. ESMT MBA는 매년 1월에 시작하여 12월에 끝나는 12개월 1년제 MBA입니다. 2016학년도가 갓 시작한 것이지요. 이제 내년 2017년 1월에 시작할 후보자들의 지원서를 받고 있습니다. 일단 중요한 입학지원일정을 살펴보겠습니다.
MBA admissions process
MBA Admissions operates a rolling deadline, with available places in the class filled on a continual basis. Space in the ESMT MBA class is limited, and early application is strongly suggested. The following are deadlines for the next MBA intake:
- April 2: Early decision deadline. Applicants will receive the first chance to reserve their seats in the class.
- July 1: Students must apply by this deadline if they plan to enroll in pre-MBA intensive German language classes in Berlin with a 50% discount. only students fully enrolled in the MBA program by July 31 are eligible for the discount.
- October 1: Many of ESMT’s competitive scholarships are awarded by this deadline, including the Kofi Annan Foundation Scholarship. (NOTE: applying before October 1 does not decrease your scholarship chances. After the October deadline there will still be partial scholarships available)
- November 2: (December 2 for EU nationals) For visa purposes, this is the last deadline for the MBA program. If the class becomes full, students will be waitlisted.
ESMT MBA는 롤링베이스로 지원서를 받고 있지만 기본적으로 지원일정을 정의하고 있습니다. 얼리 어드미션을 받기위해서는 4월 2일가지 지원서를 제출해야 합니다. 어찌보면 1라운드 개념이 될 것입니다. 그리고 ESMT MBA는 영어로 수업이 진행되지만 독일어 공부를 하고 싶어서 pre-MBA intensive German language classes를 50프로 할인받아서 듣고 싶은 분들은 7월 1일까지 지원해야 합니다. 그리고 ESMT MBA에서 장학금을 받고 싶은 분들은 10월 1일까지는 지원해야 합니다. 그리고 마지막으로 독일학생비자가 필요한 외국학생들은 11월 2일이 마지막 지원 마감일이 됩니다. 이때까지 지원해야 비자등 문제를 해결 할 수가 있습니다. 그럼 ESMT MBA의 입학조건을 알아보겠습니다.
Admission requirements
Before starting an online application, prospective students must meet all of the following requirements:
- At least three years of postgraduate, professional experience
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong GMAT or GRE scores
The average GMAT score is 640.
- TOEFL scores, or equivalent proof of fluency, for non-native English speakers. IBT 95
- Personal data
- Your academic and professional background
- Essay questions
- Your CV
- Two recommendations
- Your test scores
- Copies of your university transcripts
기본적으로 필요한 조건은 최소 직장경력 3년을 요구하고 있습니다. 그리고 학사학위가 있어야 하고 가장 중요한 GMAT점수를 만들어야 합니다. ESMT MBA의 GMAT평균은 640점입니다. GMAT의 하한선은 없으나 600점이상은 되어야 합격을 긍정적으로 바라볼 수가 있습니다. 그리고 영어IBT 는 최소 95점이상을 요구하고 있습니다. 쉽지 않은 점수지만 영어를 거의 네이티브 수준으로 사용하는 독일 탑랭킹 MBA를 할려면 반드시 필요한 점수입니다.

Bloomberg Businessweek ranks the ESMT MBA at #15 globally for international MBA programs. ESMT is the highest ranked program in the Germany.
The Economist Which MBA? ranks the ESMT MBA in the top 50 globally, and 13th in Europe. The MBA program is 10th globally for classroom diversity, reflecting the international and intercultural atmosphere in a small class size.
ESMT was among the fastest climbers in the Financial Times top 100 global MBA programs, one of only two schools from Germany included in the ranking.
가장 먼저 비즈니스위크지에서 발표한 MBA랭킹에서는 ESMT MBA가 세계랭킹 15위를 기록하였고 독일에서는 가장 높은 순위를 기록하였습니다 그리고 이코노미스트지에서 발표한 랭킹에서는 전세계 랭킹에서 50위, 그리고 유럽랭킹에서는 13위로 선정하였습니다. 그리고 class diversity 에서는 세계랭킹 10위로 선정하였습니다. 그리고 파이낸셜타임지에서는 세계 100대 MBA중의 하나로 선정되었고 이것은 세계 100대 MBA에 선정된 두개의 독일 비즈니스스쿨중의 하나가 바로 ESMT MBA라는 것을 의미합니다.
