안녕하세요, 반달곰원장입니다.
어제 반달곰원장이 ICEF Miami 에서 만난 학교중에는 미국의 좋은 대학교들로 입학할 수 있는 길을 열어주는 Pathway 전문학교인 Open Hearts Language Academy 디렉터를 만났습니다. 마이애미에서 가장 큰 학교이고 올란도와 마이애미 캠퍼스에서 미국의 대학교로 진학을 원하는 학생들의 입학을 열심히 도와주고 있었습니다. 특히 다른 조건은 다 만족시켰는데 영어조건을 만족시키지 못한 학생들을 도와주는 Pathway Program이 제일 유명합니다.
OHLA와 계약을 맺고 조건부 입학 프로그램을 진행하고 있는 학교들의 리스트를 보면 아래와 같습니다.

위의 학교들중 빨간색의 학교들이 OHLA의 University Pathway 프로그램의 해당되는데 영어조건을 못 맞춘 학생들이 OHLA에서 일정한 레벨을 이수하면 Undergraduate과정이나 Master MBA 과정으로 진학을 할 수 있는 것입니다. 그런데 그 리스트를 보면 맨위에 University of Illinois at Chicago UIC가 있습니다. OHLA와 UIC가 한달전에 계약을 맺고 조건부입학을 제공하기 시작한 것입니다. UIC에도 부설어학원이 있으나 조건부입학 프로그램은 제공하지 않습니다.
UIC MBA 입학을 희망하는 학생들도 UIC부설어학원을 아무리 다녀도 조건부로 입학할 수가 없었는데 이제 OHLA가 그런 University Pathway 프로그램을 통해서 UIC MBA를 비롯한 Pharmacy, Engineering 등의 전공에 영어 토플없이 바로 입학할 수 있게 되었습니다. 그럼 OHLA University Pathway 프로그램으로 진학가능한 UIC MBA를 비롯한 대표적인 전공들을 살펴보겠습니다.
