반달곰원장이 작년 12월에 방문했었던 UC San Diego의 대학부설 어학원인 UC San Diego Extension International Programs에서 온 이메일이 있어 많은 분과 그 내용을 공유하고자 합니다.
3월에 시작하는 단기 프로그램인 4-week English Language Programs에 신청하는 학생수가 많아서 이번 주인 1월 15일 금요일까지 원서를 받겠다고 합니다. 3월 시작 프로그램의 정확한 시작 날짜는 2월 29일입니다.
만약 3월에 시작하는 프로그램을 원한다면, 1월 15일까지 신청을 하셔야 합니다. 만약 3월 프로그램보다 늦게 시작하는 과정을 원한다면, 4월 4일에 시작하는 단기 과정도 있으니 그 이후에 지원을 하시면 되고요. 만약 3월 프로그램 지원을 위해서 서두르시다가 신청서에 정보가 누락된다거나 지불 방법을 제대로 적지 않으면, 그 다음 일정의 프로그램으로 지원신청을 해야 한다고 합니다.
UCSD의 4주 영어 과정은 아래와 같이 Conversation, Conversation and Fluency, Academic English, Business English, Medical English가 있습니다. 그 중 2월 29일에 시작하는 과정은 앞의 세 코스이지만, 바로 4월 4일에 개강하는 과정이 있으니 3월에 시작이 어렵다면, 4월 개강도 고려해 보심이 좋습니다.

Greetings from San Diego! Due to the large number of enrollments in our March 4-week English language programs from February 29-March 25, 2016, we will close our March 2016 4-week English language programs to new student applications this Friday, January 15, 2016.
If you have students who are interested in applying to our March 2016 4-week English language programs that begin on February 29, 2016, please tell them to send us their complete application with all supporting documents immediately. If they are unable to send their complete applications to us before this Friday, January 15, 2016, please encourage them to apply to our April 4, 2016 4-week English language programs. Applications with missing documents or missing application fees will not be accepted and will be referred for enrollment in a later quarter. I have attached both the 2016 International Programs brochure and application for your review and use.
We apologize for any inconvenience which this may cause for you. We hope that you will understand our reasons for this procedure -- it is important for us to ensure the high quality and enjoyable learning experience of all students in our programs. An important part of that learning experience is to ensure that we can provide all of the teaching and classroom resources needed for our students.
