폴란드에서 가장 오래된 기술 대학으로 폴란드 대학 랭킹에 꾸준히 상위에 있는 Warsaw University of Technology는 180개가 넘는 학생 연구 단체, 조직이 활발하게 활동하고 있으며, 30개가 넘는 분야의 교육을 제공하고 있습니다. 폴란드 대학이지만, 많은 코스가 영어로 제공되고 있는데요. 오늘 소개할 전공 프로그램은 Information Technology로 WUT의 19개 Faculty 중 Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology라는 단과대학에서 주관하고 있습니다.

WUT의 전자 정보 기술 단과대학은 1951년에 설립되었으며, 여러 기관(Institute)으로 구성되어 있는데, 이 기관에는 다양한 학과(Department)로 세분됩니다.

전공과정으로 IT, 전자공학, 통신, 생의학공학, 자동화 및 로봇, 전기 및 컴퓨터 공학, 전자 통신, 자동제어, 컴퓨터 과학, 전자공학, 통신 등이 있습니다. 이중 영어 강의가 진행되는 전공은 전기 및 컴퓨터 공학, 자동제어, 컴퓨터 과학, 전자공학, 통신으로 오늘 소개할 IT는 아쉽게도 폴란드어로 학습이 진행됩니다.

Information Technology는 풀타임과정으로 학부, 석사, 박사 프로그램이 있고, 파트타임으로는 석사 과정에서 학업을 진행할 수 있습니다.

먼저 학부는 BSc 학위로 Computer Science/Telecommunications 분야로 받고, 세부 전문 분야로 Information and Communications Technology – ICT가 명시되며, 4년 과정입니다. 이 분야는 IT, 자동 및 로봇, 전자공학과 통신에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 모든 학생들은 첫 1, 2년은 함께 공부하고, 다음에 전문 분야를 선택해서 수업을 듣게 됩니다.

현재 두 개의 Specialization이 제공되고 있습니다.

·       Computer Systems and Networks (CSN) in the field of Computer Science,

·       Telecommunications (TCM) in the field of Telecommunications.

학사 학위를 취득하려면 240 ECTS의 학점을 이수해야 하며, 여기에는 최종 프로젝트 및 졸업 논문에 대한 학점도 포함됩니다.

석사 학위과정의 Information and Communications Technology는 하나의 Specialization과 논문 작성을 요합니다. 2년 동안 진행되는 프로그램에서 학생들은 처음부터 두 개의 Specialization에서 하나를 골라야 합니다.

MSc 학위를 취득하려면 120 ECTS의 학점을 이수하는 동안 연구와 논문 작업을 해야 합니다. 이 학점을 이수할 때 다른 대학의 학점을 옮겨 올 수 있지만, 최대 30학점 이상은 이동을 할 수 없습니다.

입학 신청은 www.cwm.pw.edu.pl/aplikuj  사이트의 온라인 신청 시스템에서 등록을 해야 합니다. 그리고, 다음의 서류를 신청 시스템에 업로드를 해야 합니다.

·       Copy of passport

·       Legalized:

a) High School Certificate for B.Sc. studies
b) B.Sc. Diploma or equivalent for M.Sc. studies 
c) M.Sc. Diploma for Ph.D. studies

·       Proof of application fee payment. €200

 

무엇을 공부할지 어떤 대학을 갈지 결정하는 것은 쉽지 않습니다. 여러가지 상반된 의견과 어리둥절한 선택의 범위에서 컴퓨터에 관심이 있거나 공학이나 비즈니스 관련 직장을 생각하고 있다면, Information Technology 관련 전공을 선택하는 것도 좋을 방법일 것입니다.

비록 바르샤바 기술대학에서는 폴란드어 학위 과정의 ICT과정을 제공하지만, 비EU계 학생에게도 적은 TO이지만 학비 무료 지원을 하거나 장학금 수령의 기회를 주고 있습니다.
