오늘은 미국 콜로라도에 있는 Colorado Mesa University(CMU)에 대해서 소개해드리겠습니다. CMU는 콜로라도 Grand Junction에 위치해 있는 주립대학교입니다. 원래 학교 이름은 Mesa State College였는데 2011년에 Colorado State University로 확장되었습니다. CMU가 일류대학교나 탑 스쿨은 아니지만 비즈니스와 간호학, 그리고 교육학분야의 석사과정은 학비가 저렴하고 입학하기가 어렵지 않습니다.
CMU MBA과정을 중심으로 설명드리면 다음과 같습니다. CMU MBA과정은 실제로 MBA를 필요로 하고 MBA학위를 이용하여 현지취업이나 커리어발전을 이루고자 하는 학생들에게는 좋은 선택이 될 수 있습니다. 그것을 살펴보기 위해서 CMU MBA입학조건을 알아보도록 하겠습니다.
MBA Admission requirements
Applicants for the MBA program must:
- Submit an Application for Graduate Studies
- $50 Application Fee (include with application)
- Possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or better from the most recent 60 credit hours of course work earned towards a bachelor degree and a GPA of 3.0 or better from prior graduate work.
- Submit official transcripts to the Colorado Mesa University, Department of Business
- Submit official GRE test scores (Graduate Record Examination Test) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) to Colorado Mesa University, Department of Business
- Two recommendations: one professional and one academic.
- 750 word essay to be taken in a controlled environment, demonstrating writing skills and common knowledge of business current events. Topic will be given at the time of the scheduled assessment. The essay is expected in the classical five paragraph format. Grading of grammar, punctuation, writing style, and layout will be according to APA formal style, which will also be applied to any citations or references the student might incorporate.

- Interview may be required with members of the MBA Graduate Committee.
여기서 제일 중요한 것은 영어점수와 GMAT점수입니다. 영어점수는 IBT 80점, 그리고 IELTS는 7.0을 요구하고 있습니다. 적어도 CMU MBA를 위해서는 IELTS보다 IBT를 준비하는것이 좋습니다. 그리고 영어점수가 없고 영어점수만들기에 자신이 없는 학생들의 경우 CMU와 조건부입학을 제공하고 있는 Bridge Pathways프로그램을 이용하면 편합니다.
bRIGE pATHWAYS 프로그램에서 일정한 영어레벨을 마스터하면 CMU뿐만 아니라 Accounting MBA로 유명한 Philadelphia University MBA와 Chardon State University MBA입학도 가능합니다. 모두 학비가 저렴하고 GMAT면제도 가능한 MBA들입니다. CMU MBA는 필수학점 24학점을 이수하고 선택과목으로 12학점을 이수하면 졸업할 수 있습니다.
CMU MBA에는 3+2 프로그램이 있는데 학부때 경영학을 전공하였으면 3년 경영학공부로 경영학사르 취득하고 2년간의 공부로 MBA를 취득하는 것입니다. 그외에도 아래와 같이 두개의 3+2 프로그램이 있습니다.

학사전공과 MBA학위를 5년안에 취득할 수 있는 좋은 기회이므로 관심있는 분들의 많은 문의를 바라겠습니다. MBA학비는 1년에 2만불이 안됩니다. 그러므로 2년을 공부하더라도 4만불이 안되는 저렴한 학비입니다. 그리고 MBA의 입학은 가을학기와 봄학기 두번을 할 수 있는데 지원일정은 아래와 같습니다. 마지막 데드라인이 7월 1일이므로 2015학년도 가을학기 입학이 가능합니다.
