공중보건, 환경법이나 화학에 관심이 있고, 사회, 문화, 환경과 삶을 자신이 생각하는 대로 변화시키고 싶다면, 선택할 수 있는 대학이 있습니다. University of Eastern Finland로 다양한 범위의 학위 과정이 영어로 진행되고 있어 외국 유학생도 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 핀란드 대학입니다.
UEF는 핀란드의 선도적인 다학제 대학 중에 하나로 최첨단의 연구로 국제적으로 인정을 받고 있습니다. 영어로 가르치는 석사 프로그램이 25개나 되는 이스턴 핀란드 대학의 국제학생수는 1,700여명이 됩니다. 이들은 100개국 이상에서 온 외국 학생입니다.
UEF는 두 개의 학사 과정을 영어로 가르치고 있는데요. 제공 과정은 다음과 같습니다.

- Social Sciences
2022년 학사 학위 과정의 입학 신청은 2022년 1월 5일에 시작해서 1월 19일까지이고, 1년에 한번 입학 신청을 할 수 있습니다. 이번 전형에 합격하면, 9월부터 과정을 시작할 수 있습니다.
그리고, 분야별 제공되는 영어 석사 과정은 다음과 같습니다.
위의 과정 중 대표적으로 국제 비즈니스 및 세일즈 경영 석사 과정에 대해서 간단하게 살펴보겠습니다. 이 과정은 2년으로 120 ECTS의 학점을 이수해야 학위취득이 가능합니다. 전 과정이 영어로 진행되며, 학비는 1년에 8천유로입니다. 학습이 진행되는 캠퍼스는 Kuopio이고, 입학 신청 기간은 2021년 12월 1일부터 2022년 1월 19일까지입니다.
입학 신청에 필요한 자격 요건으로 최소한 3년의 학사 학위가 필요하며, 이 학위는 대학 수준의 석사 과정에 지원할 수 있는 권리를 가진 것이어야 합니다.
그리고, 대학에서 최소한 비즈니스 학습으로 60 ECTS의 학점이 포함되어 있어야 하며, 경제학에서 한 과목, 물류학에서 한 과목, 수학 과목 중 하나가 상기 학점에서 인정되어야 합니다.
학위 과정이 영어로 진행되는 만큼 지원자의 영어실력을 증명해야 하는데요. 이것은 영어성적 제출을 통해서 혹은 지원자가 영어권 혹은 노르딕 국가에서 영어강의의 학사나 석사 학위를 마쳤다는 서류를 제출하는 것으로 증명이 됩니다. 공인영어성적을 제출하려면 다음의 영어 성적 이상을 보여야 합니다.
- TOEFL Internet-based: Total Score min. 92 and 22 in writing
- IELTS (Academic): Overall Score min. 6.5 and 5.5 in writing
- PTE (Pearson Test of English), min. 62 points and 54 in writing
- C1 Advanced: 180 and min. 162 in writing (or at least level C)
- C2 Proficiency: 180 and min. 162 in writing (or least level C1)
핀란드의 모든 학위 과정은 Opintopolku 포털에서 찾을 수 있고, 자신에게 맞는 프로그램을 찾아 여기서 모든 지원을 할 수 있습니다.
대한민국에서 학사 학위를 마쳤다면, 공식대학성적표를 UEF에 밀봉된 봉투에 넣어 제출해야 합니다. 대학 학위증명서 역시 봉투에 함께 넣을 수 있으며, 봉투를 밀봉 시 학교 공식 스탬프를 밀봉부분에 반드시 찍어야 합니다.
온라인 지원서와 함께 첨부해야 하는 지원 서류에 대한 내용은 다음과 같습니다.
- Degree certificate, and if necessary, an English translation provided by an authorised translator. If you are applying with one degree and indicating your language skills with another, you are required to submit educational documents regarding both degrees.
- English language test certificate (if needed)
- Original (or officially certified copy of) transcript of academic record, and if necessary, an English translation provided by an authorised translator. The transcript must include the number of credits, grading, and date of each study unit, and also the scale of grading used by the university, otherwise the application will not be considered.
- Letter of motivation
- GMAT score (if needed in the case the applicant has not completed bachelor’s thesis)
- A copy of a passport/other document of identification (not required from Finnish applicants)
입학 통과에 있어서 가장 중요한 것은 최대 30점의 점수에서 얼마를 얻을 수 있냐는 것입니다. 이 과정에서는 매년 30명을 모집한다고 합니다.
1. Motivation : 최대 1000단어의 유학 동기 에세이 작성 (최대 5점)
2. 아카데믹 연구 기술 : 학사 논문 학점 : 4.0 이상(10점)/ 3.99점 이하(0점)
3. 학교성적 : GPA
- 4,0 or more: 15 points
- 3,0-3,99: 8 points
- 2,99 or less: 0 points
유학 동기는 다음의 질문에 답변을 하면서 완성할 수 있습니다.
- A short introduction of the applicant (degrees and studies, current professional activity, special academic and professional merits, international experience and interests)
- Reasons for applying to the programme
- How are you planning to complete the Master’s Degree in two years?
- How would the Master’s Degree Programme in International Business and Sales Management benefit your career/future plans?
- See the research topics and questions of the program you are applying for: Which topic or topics would you like to research in your master’s thesis? (max. 500 words of 1000)
학사 졸업 논문이 없다면, GMAT 성적에서 포인트를 얻을 수 있습니다.
- score 600 or more = 10 points
- 599 or less = 0 points
합격자 발표는 2022년 3월 31일에 있습니다. 모든 입학 심사는 이 날짜 전에 끝나고, 학생들은 이메일로 통지를 받게 됩니다.
