University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School
안녕하세요, 반달곰원장입니다.
오늘 반달곰원장이 영국 런던칼리지의 MSBA에 대해서 올렸는데 그 기세를 타서 스코틀랜드로 날아갑니다. 2015년에 스코틀랜드를 처음 방문했었는데 에딘버러가 아니라 글래스코를 먼저 방문했었습니다. ICEF Higher Education Workshop이 있어서 방문했었던 것인데 사람들은 왜 에딘버러를 가지 않느냐고 그랬었습니다. 그런데 스코틀랜드의 첫 방문지라서 그런데 글래스코는 매우 신선했고 좋은 이미지로 남아 있습니다.
글래스코에서 호텔 체크인한 후에 반달곰원장이 첫번 째로 한 일은 바로 University of Glasgow를 방문하는 것이었습니다. 매우 고풍스럽고 역사와 전통이 느껴지는 글래스코대학교 캠퍼스는 아직도 잊지를 못하겠습니다. 이 글래스코대학교의 비즈니스스쿨의 이름은 Adam Smith Business School입니다. 국부론을 쓴 그 유명한 경제학자인 아담스미스의 이름을 따서 비즈니스스쿨 이름을 만들었습니다.
이 Adam Smith Business School은 세계 3대인증을 모두 받은 12개월 1년MBA입니다. 학생수는 많지 않습니다. 30명내외의 학생이 공부를 하는데 매년 9월 시작합니다. 영국의 탑랭킹 MBA인데 학비는 영국/EU학생과 외국학생이 다릅니다. 영국/EU학생의 학비는 16750파운드이고 외국학생은 27670파운드입니다. 그럼 Glasgow MBA입학조건을 살펴보겠습니다.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent in any subject and a minimum of 3 years managerial work experience.
A personal statement and a detailed CV describing your work experience with specific emphasis on the managerial roles and responsibilities.
Although the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not a standard requirement of our admissions process, strong verbal reasoning and numerical abilities are critical for the MBA and we may ask you to undertake such a test.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic module (not General Training):
overall score 6.5
two sub-tests no less than 6.5, no sub-test less than 6.0
ibTOEFL: 90; no sub-test less than:
Reading: 20
Listening: 19
Speaking: 19
Writing: 23
PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English, Academic test): 60; no sub-test less than 59
입학조건중에서 중요한 것은 학사학위와 3년이상의 직장경력입니다. 그리고 GMAT을 면제 받을 수 있고 영어점수만 신경써서 만들면 입학지원을 할 수가 있습니다. IELTS 6.5 또는 IBT 90점이상을 만들어서 빨리 입학지원을 하면 됩니다. 이런 조건을 갖추고 제출해야 하는 서류를 알아보겠습니다.
