안녕하세요, 반달곰원장입니다.
오늘은 반달곰원장이 미국비자없이 여름방학에 단기간으로 공부할 수 있는 프로그램을 소개해드리겠습니다. 미국 어바인의 명문주립대학교인 UC Irvine 에서 제공하는 프로그램인데 프로그램마다 4주, 2주, 1주 기간으로 공부를 하게 됩니다. 미국 비자없이 무비자인 ESTA로 들어가서 공부할 수 있기에 매우 편안합니다. 4주, 2주, 1주 공부한 후에 미국여행을 하고 귀국을 하면 됩니다.
이런 프로그램으로 Professional Immersive Experience PIE Program이 있는데 그 안에 3개의 과정입니다. Startup Innovation Experienceship, Business Essentials for Leaders, Design Thinking Sprint: An Interactive Workshop 으로 구성되어 있는데 그 내용과 학비 그리고 일정을 살펴보면 아래와 같습니다.
Professional Immersive Experience (PIE) programs
These programs teach students key skills and techniques to enhance professional growth and development in just a few weeks.
Startup Innovation Experienceship
July 29 – August 23, 2019 (4 weeks): Learn the big picture of starting a business by helping a startup company solve challenges within their industry. Through program mentors, creativity workshops, and experiential learning, develop core business competencies and gain professional experience while expanding your international network. Tuition is $5,500.
Business Essentials for Leaders
August 5 – 9, 2019 (1 week): Become a better leader by learning effective communication and business skills. Through experiential learning activities, unpack workstyle behaviors and communication strategies that will give you the tools needed for career opportunities in leadership roles. Tuition is $2,500.
Design Thinking Sprint: An Interactive Workshop
August 12 – 22, 2019 (2 weeks): Tackle and solve big problems using the concepts of design thinking. Learn to identify and analyze root causes to create innovative approaches to solve issues. Then apply this methodology to develop your own business plan. Tuition is $2,500.
그리고 하나는 STEAM 프로그램이 있는데 로봇관련한 것입니다. 그 일정을 살펴보면 아래와 같습니다.
S.T.E.A.M. Program in Expressive Robotics
August 5 – 16, 2019 (2 weeks): Offered in collaboration with UCI Division of Continuing Education, The Beall Center for Art + Technology's Expressive Robotics curriculum exposes participating students to concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.), while also demonstrating the intersections between each discipline as students design, program, and build their own robotic structure that moves expressively. Ideal for students who are first or second year undergraduate students. Tuition is $5,000.
