반달곰원장이 작년 여름에 헝가리 부다페스트를 두번째로 방문하였는데 이제서야 코르비누스대학교 Corvinus University of Budapest에 대해서 글을 올리게 되네요. 헝가리 부다페스트하면 떠오르는 대표적인 대학교가 바로 코르비누스대학교와 세멜바이스대학교가 아닐까 싶습니다. 세멜바이스대학교는 의대이고 한국학생들이 많이 가는데 높은 유급율로 인해서 한국학생과 부모님들의 관심이 급격히 떨어지고 있슴을 느끼고 있습니다.
오늘은 의대를 이야기하는 것이 아니고 코르비누스대학교에 대해서 말씀드리려고 합니다. Corvinus University of Budapest는 1920년대에 왕립 헝가리대학의 경제학부로 시작하였었습니다. 그래서 코르비누스대학교는 경제학, 경영학, 사회과학분야가 유명합니다.

코르비누스MBA지원을 위해서 토플이나 IELTS점수를 만들 필요는 없습니다. 왜냐하면 후보자의 영어실력을 인터뷰때 체크하기 때문입니다. 인터뷰가 얼마나 중요한지 인터뷰에 대한 안내사항을 살펴보면 알 수가 있습니다. 아래 사항을 체크하여 인터뷰 준비를 잘 해야 합니다.
Application interviews may be conducted in person at the University in Budapest, or in exceptional cases via Video Conference. The interview will test the candidate based on the 4 assets listed below:

- Perceived fit with the MBA program
- Command of the English Language
- At the Full-time MBA Program the admission interview focusing on the following topics:

헝가리 부다페스트의 코르비누스대학교 풀타임MBA에 지원하려면 위의 입학조건을 잘 준비해서 아래와 같은 데드라인을 고려하여 지원서를 제출해야 합니다.
- Full-time MBA (foreign nationals): The next Full-time MBA group starts in September 2019. The application deadline is 10th of July, 2019 for EU residents (except Hungarians, see below) and 10th of July, 2019 for applicants from the rest of the world (because of Visa processing time). Please note that because of the rolling admission system, only a very few places are available after June.
즉 2019년 7월 10일까지 지원서를 제출해야 합니다. 아직 지원하기에 충분한 시간이 있습니다. 그럼 학비는 어느 정도 되는지 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.
Tuition fee
- EEA (European Economic Area) nationals: HUF 890,000.- per semester (HUF 3,560,000 total)
- Non-EEA (non-European Economic Area) nationals : HUF 1,000,000.- per semester (HUF 4,000,000 total)
- Class materials included
- Obligatory reading included (library-based)
외국인학생들은 한 학기에 HUF1000000의 학비를 내야 합니다. 4학기이므로 HUF4000000을 납입해야 합니다. 한화로 계산하면 한 학기에 약 400만원 정도의 학비가 필요하므로 총 1600만원 정도가 듭니다. 미국이나 영국 다른 나라의 MBA보다는 훨씬 경제적인 학비입니다. 그러나 헝가리 물가에 비하면 만만한 학비는 아닙니다. 그래도 동유럽의 앞서가는 아름다운 국가 헝가리에서 MBA를 공부하고 유럽에서 커리어를 만들어가고자 하는 직장인들은 충분히 도전해볼만 하다고 생각이 듭니다.
