오늘은 반달곰원장이 미국으로 대학교 가려는 학생들에게 좋은 대학교를 추천하려고 합니다. 우리나라에서도 실속 있고 알찬 대학교들이 몇 개가 있습니다. SKY가 아니어도 실력 있는 학교라서 그 대학교를 졸업한 학생들은 취업이 잘 되곤 합니다. 그처럼 미국 노스캐롤라이나의 윌밍턴에는 그런 실력 있는 대학교가 있습니다. 바로 University of North Carolina Wilmington입니다.

Department of Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, Literacy, & Special Education
The Department of Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, Literacy, and Special Education is a community of professional educators dedicated to the preparation of teachers and other professionals who have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to work with children from early childhood through middle grades, students with special needs, and their families. It values the integration of current theory, research, and professional expertise from multiple disciplines and perspectives to inform practices that enable all learners to reach their full potential.

The Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations and Secondary Education prepares educators/professionals for leadership positions in instructional technology and secondary education. Our commitment is to the development of highly competent professionals to serve in educational leadership roles.
Department of Educational Leadership
The Department of Educational Leadership is committed to the preparation, support and collaboration with educators who seek or hold leadership positions in schools, school districts, boards, state and federal departments, agencies or higher education. The department hosts the Watson College of Education's Master of School Administration program (MSA), the Curriculum Studies for Equity in Education Program (MED in CSEE), the undergraduate Leadership Minor (LED) and the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration.

Admission Deadlines
Fall deadline (to take spring courses) - December 1
Spring deadline (to take summer and/or fall courses) - May 1
Summer deadline (to take fall courses) - August 1
Requirements for Admission to Watson College of Education
Submission of online Watson College application in My Seaport
Completion of the following courses with a minimum grade of "C-"
Two English composition courses
ENG 100 or 101
ENG 200 or 201 or 103
-OR-
ENG 103
One math course
3 hours of MAT/STT 101 or higher
One science course with a laboratory component
Completion of EDN/L 200 or SEC Block 1 courses with a grade of "C-" or better
Minimum overall grade point average of 2.70 on a 4.00 scale on 45+ college credit hours completed at UNCW (transfer students should see "Transfer Students" section)
Passing scores (or exemption) on the mandated Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators
Passing Praxis Core Scores:
Reading Test # 5712 passing score= 156
Writing Test # 5722 passing score= 162
Math Test #5732 passing score= 150
OR
Composite Test #5751 passing score= 468
Exemptions from all or part of the Praxis Core are granted if the scores or degrees below are on file with the Associate Deans Office by the admissions deadline (room EB 308, Dianne Evans)

24 on Math test to exempt from Praxis Core Math
Master's degree exempts from full Praxis Core. Submit a transcript with the degree posted to the Associate Dean's Office (room EB 308, Dianne Evans) by the admissions deadline.
Students holding a Bachelor's degree with final cumulative GPA of 2.7 minimum exempts from full Praxis Core. Submit a transcript with the degree posted to the Associate Dean's Office (room EB 308, Dianne Evans) by the admissions deadline.
Confirm official SAT or ACT exempting scores by accessing SEANET: Under Student Services & Financial Aid go to Student Records then Student Information. Submit for the current term, then scroll to the bottom for Test Score Information.
Submission of background questions (and court documents if required)
