오늘은 University of Hong Kong의 undergraduate 입학 관련한 정보를 팩트 위주로 간결하게 설명을 드리오니 자세한 문의 방문이나 이메일로 해주시길 바라겠습니다.
먼저 입학지원관련하여 말씀드리겠습니다 과거에는 입학 지원 라운드를 early main, late으로 나누어서 받았었는데 요즘은 main round에만 지원서를 받고 있습니다. 2018학년도 입학 일정이 마무리 되었기에 당연히 입학 지원은 마감되었습니다. 2019학년도 입학을 위한 입학 지원은 2018년 12월 열릴 것으로 예상됩니다. 참고로 2018학년도 입학 지원을 위한 지원 일정을 알려드리오니 참고하시길 바랍니다.

그럼 이런 입학 일정에 맞추어서 학생들은 무엇을 해야 할까요! 학교에서는 입학을 원한다면 대학교의 입학 조건과 학과 프로그램의 개별 요건을 만족시키길 요구하고 있습니다. 당연히 대학교에 입학하려면 IB, SAT, ACT등에서의 좋은 점수를 고려할 것이지만, 이뿐만 아니라 공부 이외의 리더쉽이나 다른 우수성을 가진 후보자들을 높이 평가할 것입니다. 고등학교 성적증명서, 그리고 영어 토플이나 EILTS점수등을 모두 신중하게 평가할 것입니다. 그리고 당연히 에세이와 추천서도 입학하는데 중요한 평가요소가 됩니다. 그러면 구체적으로 입학을 위한 조건을 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.
홍콩대학교 입학조건에는 크게 세가지 조건을 만족시켜야 합니다.
A. General academic requirement;
B. English language requirement;
C. Second language requirement.
오늘은 먼저 General academic requirement 를 알아보겠습니다. 다음 블로그에서 English Language Requirement를 알아보고 마지막으로 Second Language Requirement를 살펴보겠습니다. 기본조건은 대학입학을 위해서 가장 필요한 조건이므로 잘 확인하고 준비하시길 바랍니다.
A. General Academic Requirement

위에서 보시면 IB Diploma하는 학생들은 IBDP점수 30-45사이여야 하고 SAT 한 학생들은 overall score 1310이어야 하고 (신SAT기준), reading, analysis, writing 에세이에서 각각 score 6이상이어야 합니다. ACT는 27점이상이어야 합니다. A-Level이나 International A-Level을 한 학생은 CCC이상의 점수를 가져야 합니다. 그리고 일반 한국고등학교를 졸업한 학생은 고등학교 졸업장과 각 과목이 “미”이상의 성적을 거두어야 합니다.
한국의 많은 학생들이 홍콩이 최고 명문대학교인 홍콩대학교 입학을 원하고 있습니다. MBA는 홍콩과기대가 좀 더 한걸음 앞서있는지는 몰라도 대학교는 역사와 전통이 비교도 안되게 훌륭한 홍콩대학교를 선호합니다. 특히, 중국에서 국제학교를 다녔거나 다른 국가에서 조기유학을 통해서 IB, A-Level등을 했다면 홍콩대학교를 우선적으로 생각하실 것입니다. 그럼 잘 준비하시고 지원준비 마무리 잘하시길 바라겠습니다. 입학지원 도움이 필요하면 반달곰원장에게 문의하시길 바랍니다.
