오늘 소개할 대학은 University of Turku로 핀란드의 Turku에 위치한 공립대학교입니다. 투르크 대학은 1920년에 설립되었으며, 7개의 단과대학, 6개의 독립적인 학교 시설을 갖추고 있습니다. 약 2만명의 학생과 3,400명의 교직원이 있는 대학으로 Bachelor, Mater, Licentiate, Doctoral degrees 과정을 제공하고 있습니다. 교육이 제공되는 캠퍼스는 핀란드 내에 세 개 지역으로 Turku, Pori, Rauma에 캠퍼스가 있습니다.

위의 Master 프로그램의 지원 자격은 학사 학위를 소지한 자로 최소한 180 ECTS의 학점을 보유하거나 혹은 3년의 풀타임 학업을 완수해야 합니다. 석사 프로그램과 유사한 전공으로 지원해야 하며, 각 전공별로 상세한 자격 요건을 체크할 필요가 있습니다.
영어로 진행되는 과정인만큼 일정 수준의 영어 실력을 증명해야 하는데요. 제출 가능한 영어 성적은 다음과 같습니다.
- TOEFL 92 점 이상
- IELTS 6.5 이상
- CPE / CAE 패스 Grade
- PTE : 62점 이상
장학금 수령을 희망한다면, 지원서 상에 YES라고 표시할 수 있습니다. 추가로 제출해야 하는 서류는 스캔해서 업로드를 하며, 원본은 핀란드에 도착해서 제출토록 되어 있습니다.
· The original degree certificate (in the original language) AND an English, Finnish or Swedish translation (or an English-language Diploma Supplement concerning graduates from European universities) of the degree certificate.
· The original transcript of study records (in the original language) AND an English, Finnish or Swedish translation (or an English-language Diploma Supplement concerning graduates from European universities) of the transcript of records.
· Certificate of knowledge of English.
EU/ETA 시민이 아니라면, University of Turku에서 공부하려면 학비를 납부해야 합니다. 정확한 학비는 입학 담당관에게 확인 가능하며, 학비 납부 마감의 경우 올해는 7월 31일까지입니다. 학비를 납부하는 학생에게는 장학금 신청이 가능한데, 학비의 100% 혹은 50%를 커버하는 금액을 수령하게 됩니다. 핀란드에서 공부하면서 숙소와 음식, 교통비 등 추가적으로 예상해야 하는 한달 비용은 아래를 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.

아쉽게도 Turku에 머무는 동안 지낼 숙소는 학교에서 도움을 주지 않기 때문에 자신이 머물 숙소는 알아서 구해야 합니다. 학교에서 숙소를 찾아주거나 어떤 서비스를 제공하지 않지만, Turku 주변의 학생 숙소에 대한 정보는 제공하고 있으니 학교 홈페이지를 적극 활용해 볼 수 있습니다.
