미국 보스턴과 시애틀에 캠퍼스를 두고 있으며, 2018 U.S. News & World Report에서 미국내 대학 평가 선정에서 40위를 차지한 Northeastern University에 대해서 지난번 포스팅을 했었는데요. 그때 학사편입과정인 BCP 프로그램에 대해서 소개해드렸습니다. 오늘은 Northeastern 대학교에서 저렴한 학비로 석사학위를 취득할 수 있는 새로운 캠퍼스에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.
새로운 캠퍼스는 Silicon Valley에 위치하며, College of Professional Studies 석사 과정으로 지원할 수 있습니다. Silicon Valley는 구글, 애플, 마이크로소프트 등 전세계 유명한 테크놀로지 관련 기업들이 본사를 두고 있는 위치이며, 세계적으로 유명한 학업과 R&D의 도시입니다. 실리콘 밸리 캠퍼스는 Northeastern 대학 졸업생이 세운 Integrated Device Technology 회사 안에 위치합니다. 학생들은 종합 Technology의 본고장에서 공부를 하면 Co-op을 통한 실무 경험을 해 볼 수 있습니다.
*진학 가능한 석사 전공 및 조건
- 학부 과정 GPA 2.5/4.0 필요 및 최소 18개월 소요 (학업 기간은 전공에 따라 상이)
- TOEFL 79 (W-20)
- GRE/GMAT 불필요
석사 지원에 걸림돌이 될 수 있는 GRE나 GMAT 점수를 요구하고 있지 않아서 좀 더 수월하게 지원해 볼 수 있습니다.

Master of Professional Studies in Analytics
이 프로그램은 캠퍼스 수업에 참여하는 방식으로 진행되며, 다음의 학업 목표로 커리큘럼이 구성되어 있습니다.
- Build portfolios of real-world projects demonstrating competency with key technologies, visualization and communication techniques, and the ability to translate information into recommended actions.
- Gain a core analytical skillset upon which to layer more specialized technical skillsets or industry-specific applications.
- Develop a relationship to industry leaders and peers so that you may leverage your Northeastern education long after your formal education ends.
- Choose from a host of flexible programming options—all of which share an industry-defined core curriculum and a required, credit-bearing experiential requirement.
- Anticipate and contribute to the future direction of data analytics.
MS Project Management
온라인과 캠퍼스 수업 참여로 진행되는 코스로 듣게 되는 과목수마다 다르겠지만, 학비는 3만불 정도 예상해야 합니다.
- Specialized Knowledge - Effectively lead and manage sometimes interrelated, complex projects in a mature manner while avoiding common project management pitfalls.
- Broad, Integrative Knowledge - Manage project scope, risk, quality, and performance metrics while effectively communicating with all project stakeholders.
- Civic Learning - Understand the need for ethics and social responsibility in the practice of project management as outlined in the PMI Code of Ethics.
- Intellectual Skills - Develop the critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills necessary to lead projects in a complex and dynamic project environment.
MS Regulatory Affairs for Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices
- Experiential Learning at Work — Working professionals collaborate with their employer to develop a project that addresses a key business need their company has in an area they want familiarity with.
- Experiential Network (XN) — Students work virtually with a sponsoring organization on a short-term project over a six-week period.
- Full-Time Co-op Opportunities — Students on co-op work in a paid position in their field of study for three to six months.
실리콘 밸리 캠퍼스에서 공부하는 동안 학생들이 머물 숙소는 off-campus student services를 통해 찾을 수 있습니다.
