오늘은 미국 필라델피아에 있는 Temple University의 Short Term Program에 대해서 말씀을 드리겠습니다. 여름방학때에 단기간에 영어실력을 향상시킬 수 있는 intensive English Language Program이 템플대학교에서 제공됩니다. 보통 미국으로 어학연수를 갈 때 6개월이나 12개월 예정으로 가는 경우가 많지만 방학기간을 이용해서 4주 정도 영어공부도 하고 여행을 즐기려는 분들도 많습니다. 템플대학교 short term program은 크게 4가지로 구분할 수가 있습니다. 구체적으로 알아보면 아래와 같습니다.

-American Culture at Temple
Enroll in this exciting, 3 or 4-week program to improve your English and learn about American culture.
Spend the mornings building your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. In the afternoons, take trips to explore historic and cultural sites in Philadelphia and its surrounding region.
Students in our summer program will:
- Visit New York City
- Walk the boardwalk in the beach town of Ocean City, New Jersey
- Explore the arts and attractions in America's first World Heritage City: Philadelphia!

Summer Program (4 Weeks)
July 6 - August 5, 2017
Cost: $3,550
Application deadline: June 5, 2017
Cost includes tuition & fees, accomodation, materials, select meals, ground transportation, and all activity fees.
-4-Week Super Intensive English
If you want to improve your English in an immersion environment and only have a short time to devote to language study, this super-intensive program is a good fit for you. You will improve your English reading, writing, listening and speaking in stimulating and challenging courses. It is open to all students who have completed high school.

-Graduate Academic English
To help you master the many challenges you face as an international graduate student, enroll in Graduate Academic English.
This four-week course will help you succeed in advanced academic courses and function well in English. It will help you fine-tune your writing skills, receive intensive training on pronunciation and presentations, and bridge the gap between everyday English and the academic English you will need for success in your area of study.

Airport pickup from PHL International is available on July 23 at 9:00am EST and 7:30pm EST.

Prepare for your future at Temple University. Live and learn with high school students from the United States and around the world on an urban campus in Philadelphia: the birthplace of the U.S. Discover American culture as you take in Philadelphia’s rich history and world-famous art collections. Spend a day in New York City, at the beach and at other nearby iconic locations that will immerse you in the American experience. Benefit from this enriching college prepatory program that combines academics and excursions for three unforgettable weeks.
Learn about American college expectations, visit area college campuses, sit in on Temple University classes in majors that may include business, computer science, medicine, the arts and more.
Students will:
- take a day trip to New York City
- tour Philadelphia’s large collection of public art.
- spend the day on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey.
- attend a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game. Go Phils!
- interact with American high schoolers from other college youth programs.

위에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 필라델피아 템플대학교에서 4주 정도 영어공부를 할 수 있습니다. 입학지원은 입학지원서비를 면제 받으려면 3월 15일까지 지원하면 됩니다. 그리고 입학지원 마감은 5월이나 6월에 됩니다. 학기 시작은 7월 초부터 진행되므로 이 일정에 차질이 없으려면 미리 지원하고 입학허가서를 받아서 학생비자 F1비자 수속을 진행하여 미국으로 들어가서 공부를 하면 됩니다.
