드디어 공식적인 Workshop은 모두 끝났습니다. 이제 런던의 TSA School에서 초청한 행사에 참석하여 학교방문을 하고 더블린으로 다시 돌아가서 5개이상의 학교방문을 한 이후에 한국으로 돌아가면 됩니다. 길게만 느껴졌던 출장이 어느새 마무리단계로 접어들었네요. 많이 힘들지만 성과가 있었던 출장인 관계로 만족하고 있습니다. 이번에 만났던 대학교중의 하나인 University of West England(UWE) 의 MBA프로그램이 좋아보이기에 소개를 해드리겠습니다.
UWE MBA는 매년 1월과 9월에 시작을 합니다. 비즈니스스쿨의 이름은 Bristol Business School입니다. 여기서 제공하는 UWE MBA는 1년MBA입니다. 12개월동안 공부하면서 커리어를 발전시킬 수 있는 비즈니스스킬등을 향상시키게 됩니다. UWE MBA에 지원하기 위해서 필요한 admission requirements를 살펴보면 아래와 같습니다.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- an honours degree (minimum 2.2) from a recognised Higher Education institution or equivalent from a recognised overseas institution,
- three years' work experience relevant to the MBA course content.
If you do not have a first degree, certain professional qualifications combined with managerial experience may be sufficient.
Your personal statement should include detailed responses to the questions listed below:
- Why have you decided to undertake an MBA at this point in your career? (150 words maximum)
- Why have you chosen to study an MBA at Bristol UWE? (150 words maximum)
- What knowledge, personal qualities and skills would you bring to this course? (150 words maximum)
- What do you intend to do after you have completed this course? (150 words maximum)
- Please describe your past experience within organisations (paid work experience, voluntary experience, family business, entrepreneur projects etc.). In particular, please focus on projects where you have collaborated with other people or institutions/organisations. (300 words maximum)
English Language Requirements
If English is not your first language, you will be required to meet the Home Office and UWE's minimum English Language requirements, such as the International English Language Test (IELTS) 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
위에서 볼 수 있듯이 영어조건은 IELTS 6.5이고 올 밴드 5.5이상이어야 합니다. 그리고 GMAT점수를 요구하지는 않습니다. 그리고 영어조건을 못맞추는 경우에는 UWE International College에서 제공하는 Pre Master과정이나 영어과정을 이수하여 그 조건을 만족시키고 입학하면 됩니다.
그리고 에세이 질문에 대해서도 안내를 하고 있는데 각 질문에 대해서 150단어로 표현을 하여야 합니다. 정말 핵심만을 이야기해야지 그렇지 않으면 그 기준 조건을 만족시키키가 쉽지 않을 것입니다. 마지막 에세이는 300단어입니다만 이 역시도 쉬운 것은 절대 아닙니다. UWE MBA 가 명문 MBA라고 말을 할 수는 없지만 브리스톨에서 좋은 MBA를 하고 싶다면 충분히 도전할 수 있는 프로그램입니다. 특히나 많은 분들이 브리스콜에서 어학연수를 하는데 단순하게 어학연수만 하고 올 것이 아니라 자신의 커리어에 도움 될 수 있는 MBA를 하고 오는 것이 당연히 도움이 될 것입니다.
국제학생이나 UK학생이나 학비는 15600파운드로 매우 저렴합니다. 영국에서 실용적인 MBA를 하고 싶다면 University of West England MBA를 고려하시길 바라겠습니다. GMAT면제, 학비저렴MBA를 만날 수 있는 것이 쉬운 것은 아닙니다. 어차피 영어공부를 해야한다면 UWE의 부설어학우원에서 영어실력을 쌓아서 면제를 받으면 제일 좋습니다. 그럼 UWE MBA에 대해서 도움 필요하신 분은 언제든지 연락주시길 바랍니다.
