어제 오늘 무지 더운날이 계속 되고 있는 서울입니다. 여러분들 여름 휴가는 잘 다녀오셨는지요? 반달곰원장은 다음주 화, 수요일 1박2일로 충북제천으로 다녀올려고 합니다. 아무리 일이 바뻐도 아이들을 위해서라도 하루 이틀정도는 같이 여름휴가를 보내야겠지요. 이렇게 무더운 여름에도 반바지에 슬리퍼신고서 열심히 공부하는 분들이 계십니다. 바로 2017년도 MBA입학에 도전하시는 분들이신데요, GMAT과 IBT , IELTS준비로 하루하루가 정말 빨리 가고 있습니다. 반달곰원장도 그분들이 마음이 급하다보니 덩달아 바쁘고 자료준비, 정보안내에 집중하고 있습니다.
오늘은 반달곰원장이 1년동안 살았었던 시카고의 명문대학교 University of Chicago Booth MBA의 2017학년도 입학지원일정과 입학지원조건을 알아보도록 하겠습니다. 옜날에 시카고대학교 Executive MBA 홍콩프로그램을 안내해드린 적은 있었는데 풀타임MBA 소개는 처음인 것 같습니다. 시카고 Booth MBA에는 오늘 소개해드리는 Full time MBA말고도 Evening MBA, Weekend MBA, Executive MBA등 다양하게 프로그램이 있습니다. 그럼 Full time MBA의 2017년도 입학지원일정을 알아보겠습니다.

지원일정을 보면 1라운드가 9월 22일 마감입니다. 1라운드만 하버드 1라운드 마감보다 느리지 2,3라운드 마감일정은 비슷합니다. 이렇게 지원하면 admission, waitlist, denied admission으로 나누어지게 됩니다. admission을 받기 위해서는 어떠한 준비가 필요한지 알아보도록 하겠습니다.
Application Checklist
A complete submission will consist of the following items:
- Completed application with required personal background
- Completed essay questions
- Professional resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- Unofficial (scanned) transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions attended. Note: Official transcripts are requested from admitted students only.
- GMAT or GRE score
- TOEFL, IELTS or PTE scores (international applicants only)
Note: TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores are valid for two years. - $250 application fee
GMAT/GRE의 최저점수 제한은 없습니다. 국제학생들의 경우 영어점수가 중요한데 그 기준은 아래와 같습니다.

PBT를 볼 수 있다면 PBT가 가장 만들기 쉬울 것 같습니다. 그리고 지원서류중 가장 중요한 에세이 질문을 살펴보면 아래와 같습니다.
Presentation/Essay Guidelines:
Choose the format that works for you. Want to illustrate your response visually? Submit a slide presentation. Like to express yourself with words? Write a traditional essay. Use the format that you feel best captures your response, the Admissions Committee has no preference.
Determine your own length. There is no prescribed minimum or maximum length. We trust that you will use your best judgment in determining how long your submission should be, but we recommend that you think strategically about how to best allocate the space.
Technical Guidelines:
File Size: Maximum file size is 16 MB.
Accepted Upload Formats: Acceptable formats are PDF, Word, and PowerPoint. We strongly recommend converting your piece to a PDF file prior to submitting.
Multimedia Restrictions: We will be viewing your submission electronically and in full color, but all submissions will be converted to PDF files, so animation, video, music, etc. will not translate over.
Optional Essay:
Is there any additional information that you would like the Admissions Committee to know? If so, please address in an optional essay. (300 words maximum)
시카고 Booth MBA의 1년 학비는 $66540입니다. 그러므로 2년MBA이니까 13만불이 넘어가는 학비가 만만하지 않은 MBA프로그램입니다. 그리고 입학하기도 쉽지않지요. 그래도 반달곰원장이 시카고에서 공부할 때 만난 시카고Booth MBA학생들은 특별하지는 않았습니다. 즉, 열심히 준비해서 공부한 친구들이 오더군요. 성급하게 생각하지말고 하나씩 하나씩 GMAT, IBT, 에세이, 지원서, 인터뷰등을 준비해서 탑MBA를 준비하시길 바랍니다. 2017년도 입학을 기원하며 도움이 필요하신 분들은 언제든지 상담 환영하겠습니다.
