오늘은 반달곰원장과도 인연이 많이 UC Berkeley Haas MBA에 대해서 알아보도록 하겠습니다. UC Berkeley는 주립대학교 랭킹 1위인 명문 대학교입니다. Haas MBA도 주립대학교 1위일 뿐만 아니라 사립MBA를 포함해도 탑10안에 드는 명문MBA입니다. 2016년도 US News MBA랭킹에서는 7위를 차지하였습니다. 그럼 Haas MBA의 입학지원일정은 어떻게 되는지 알아보겠습니다.
3라운드까지 지원서를 받는데 1라운드는 늦게 시작하고 마지막 라운드는 일찍 마감하는 스타일입니다. 10월 1일 1라운드 마감하고 마지막 라운드는 3월 31일이 마감 일자입니다. 1라운드 지원하기 위해서는 지원서 준비를 마무리해야 합니다. GMAT시험과 IBT시험도 10월 1일 이전에는 봐야만 지원할 수가 있습니다. 다음은 에세이를 살펴보겠습니다.

Required Essays

Please use the following essays as opportunities to reflect on and share with us the values, experiences, and accomplishments that have helped shape who you are.

If you could choose one song that expresses who you are, what is it and why? (250 words maximum)
Essay #2
Please respond to one of the following prompts: (250 words maximum)
- Describe an experience that has fundamentally changed the way you see the world and how it transformed you.
- Describe a significant accomplishment and why it makes you proud.
- Describe a difficult decision you have made and why it was challenging.

Tell us about your path to business school and your future plans. How will the Berkeley-Haas experience help you along this journey? (500 words maximum)
Supplemental Information
- If you have not provided a letter of recommendation from your current supervisor, please explain. If not applicable, enter N/A.
- List in order of importance all community and professional organizations and extracurricular activities in which you have been involved during or after university studies. Include the following information for each organization or activity using the format below:

에세이는 3개로 나누어져 있습니다. 필수에세이, supplemental essay, 그리고 optional essay 등으로 나누어져 있습니다. 필수에세이 질문의 첫번째는 당신이 누구인지를 잘 표현하는 노래를 선택하고 그 노래가 무엇인지, 그리고 왜 그 노래가 자신을 잘 표현하느지를 설명하라는 것입니다. 재미있는 에세이 질문입니다. 노래를 많이 알지 않으면 자신을 표현하는 노래를 찾기가 만그리만치 안헥ㅆ다는 생각이 듭니다만 재미는 있을 것 같습니다. 그리고 supplemental essay는 추천서를 현재 직장상사로 받지 못한 분들이 작성하는 것이라고 보면 됩니다. 그리고 optional은 입학사정위원회에 어필하고 싶은 것이 있는 사람이 쓰면 되는 것이구요.
그리고 추천서에 대한 정보는 아래와 같습니다. 현재의 직장상사를 포함해서 두부의 추천서를 요구하고 있습니다. 그리고 온라인으로 제출하는 것을 좋아합니다.
Two professional letters of recommendation
We require two letters of recommendation and prefer that at least one come from a current employer. Select individuals with whom you have had considerable professional interaction, such as your supervisor or a major client. The title or status of those you select is not important. What does matter is how closely your letter writers have worked with you and whether they can attest to your value as an employee, your professional accomplishments, and your personal qualities and interpersonal skills in an organizational context. For this reason, we strongly discourage academic references. Letters of recommendation from co-workers, someone you have supervised, relatives, or personal and family friends are inappropriate and can be detrimental to the review of your application. Please do not submit more than two letters, and if you choose not to obtain a letter from your current supervisor, be certain to explain why.

후보자의 자질을 진정으로 잘 평가할 수 있는 추천인이길 요구하고 있고 그 추천인의 직급이나 타이틀은 중요하지 않습니다. UC Berkeley Haas MBA를 지원할 때 좋은 것은 영어기준이 그렇게 높지않다는 것입니다. IBT 90점, CBT 230점, PBT 570점이 최소점수입니다. 이 이상만 되면 영어조건은 맞출 수 있습니다.
