UCSD 의 대학부설어학원 English Language Institute 의 ESL 프로그램은 다양하고 퀄리티가 좋아서 매우 인기가 높습니다. 그리고 지역적으로 기후가 일년내내 좋아서 전세계적으로 인기가 많은 샌디에고에 있는 대표 대학교 어학연수 프로그램이라서 많은 학생들이 모여 듭니다. 그래서 다른 대학교나 사설어학원보다도 항상 정원이 일찍 마감되는 경향이 있는데, 이번 가을에도 UCSD 디렉터가 연락오기를 9월 29일과 10월 29일에 시작하는 4W 영어프로그램 정원이 마감됐다면 4W 영어프로그램을 공부할려면 11월 24일 프로그램이나 2015년 1월 프로그램으로 하라고 권유하고 있습니다.

Dear Partner:
Greetings from San Diego! Because of the large number of student applications that we have received, the 2014 October and November Fall 4-week English language programs that begin on September 29th and October 27th are at maximum capacity. If you have students who are interested in applying to our 2014 October and November Fall 4-week English language programs, please encourage them to apply to our 4-week English language programs that begin on November 24, 2014 or in January 2015.
We still have space for enrollments in our 2014 Fall Business and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate programs, but that could change soon as we continue to receive large numbers of applications. Therefore, please let your students know that if they are interested in studying at UC San Diego Extension during the Fall 2014 quarters, it would be best for them to submit their completed application and all supporting documents very soon.
Please do not send applications with missing documents or fees. Only complete applications with all required supporting documents and fees can be accepted and processed for speedy turn-around so that we can help ensure sufficient time for your students to obtain their student visas and make their travel plans in good time.

다행히 Business Essential 이나 Business Management 과정, 그리고Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) 과정을 가을에 하고 싶은 분들은 모든 서류를 완변히 갖추어서 지원할 경우에 가능하다고 합니다. 그러나 이 마저도 시간이 흐를수록 자리가 없어지므로 빨리 서두르기를 바라고 있습니다.
UCSD 의 4주 영어프로그램은 아래와 같은 것이 있습니다.
4-week Programs
2014년 가을에 어학연수를 시작하여 전문연수를 하고 싶은 대학생들이나 직장인들은 4주과정, 또는 10주과정의 어학연수를 하고서 전문연수과정인 Business Essential/ Business Management를 하는 것이 좋습니다. 한국인들이 너무나 많은 샌디에고이기에 정말 각오하고 공부하러 가야 합니다. 항상 어학연수 계획했을때의 마음으로 지속적으로 공부한다면 짧은 시간내에도 어학실력이 부쩍 늘수 있습니다. 그러나 미국에 가자마자 외롭다고 한국인친구들과 어울리며 술마시고 놀러다니면 영어실력은 욕 밖에 느는 것이 없을 것입니다. 욕을 배울려면 그냥 영화한편 보면 다 배울 수 있는 것들입니다. 귀중한 시간 아껴서, 귀중한 돈 아껴서 원래 목표했던 것을 반드시 이루고 돌아오시길 바라겠습니다.
