오늘은 특별한 방문학자 프로그램을 소개해드립니다. 그리고 이 방문학자 프로그램은 학교와 협의는 마무리했으나 진행하면서 시행착오를 거칠 수 있음을 이해바라겠습니다. 시행착오는 겪을 수 있으나 확실하게 스페인으로 방문학자를 갈 수 있기에 충분히 도전해 볼만하다고 생각합니다.
오늘 해드리는 방문학자 프로그램은 미국이 아닌 스페인입니다. 스페인으로 방문학자를 가족들과 같이 간다면 너무나 좋겠지요. 스페인중에서 바르셀로나가 아니고 마드리드도 아닌 바로 남부의 매력적인 도시 무르시아에 있는 UCAM입니다. UCAM은 Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia 의 약자로 남부에 위치한 도시 무르시아에 있는 사립대학교입니다. 반달곰원장이 운좋게도 2017년 9월에 초청받아 방문을 해서 캠퍼스를 둘러본 적이 있습니다.
UCAM은 많은 전공을 제공하는 종합대학교인데 스페인으로 제공하지만 의대가 있고, 영어로 제공하는 치대가 있습니다. 그외에도 어떤 전공으로 방문학자로 갈 수 있지를 한번 알아보도록 하겠습니다.

보시면 아시겠지만 엄청나게 많은 전공들을 제공하고 있습니다. 그래서 방문학자를 생각하는 교수, 변호사, 의사, 전문직, 교사, 공기업 간부, 사기업임원, 지자체공무원분들은 적극적으로 고려해보시길 바라겠습니다.
방문학자의 주목적이 자녀교육인데 스페인은 어떨까요? 네, 매우 클리어 합니다. 보통 스페인어를 모를 것이니 국제학교에 보내는 것이 일반적입니다. 국제학교는 학비가 비싼 거 아시지요. 이런 부분을 잘 고려해서 스페인으로의 방문학자를 고려해야할 것입니다. 아니면 스페인어를 몰라도 스페인공립학교를 보내서 힘들더라도 스페인어를 익히게 하는 방법도 있겠지요. 그건 부모님의 결정사항이고 공립학교등을 알아보시려면 발품을 파셔야 할 것입니다.
